Get Out

Callie's POV . . .

I returned to the Kameron's room after I had collected myself. I had been tempted to just run back to Kameron's house, but then realized that I would run into his mother and Florence's parents, who seemed less than pleased with me.

So, it was either brave the storm that was Luna Nora Lake or braves the storm that was Florence Elm. Whichever choice I ended up picking, I was bound to be feeling uncomfortable and unwanted. Florence had seemed like the lesser of the two evils-but, boy, had I been wrong.

I was about to open the door to Kameron's room when I noticed Rex walking in my direction. He smiled at me, but then his smile quickly dropped when he noticed the glass of water in my hand. He scowled at the glass and then looked at me.

"Kameron has water in his room. You could have just taken one of those bottles in the minifridge."

"It's not for me; it's for Florence. She sent me to go and get her some water."
