Chapter 1 The Zombie Virus was about to Break Out

"Shit, I can't believe the zombie virus is about to break out in ten days."

In a slum in San Francisco, a young man sat on a bed.

It was Allen. He was cooking at home, but he suddenly came here.

Although it was also San Francisco, his identity had changed. In the eyes of the FBI, he was a stowaway.

But it didn't matter. What mattered was that the zombie virus was about to break out in ten days! It was an important thing.

If he received such a message, Allen wouldn't believe it.

But this was said by a voice who claimed to be the system in his mind, which was thought-provoking.

"Zombie virus outbreak countdown: nine days, twenty-three hours, fifty-eight minutes, and twenty-one seconds."

"Do you want to activate zombie virus practice?"

In Allen's eyes, these transparent words appeared.

Then there was an option. Confused, Allen was stunned for a moment and instinctively thought that he should choose to activate it.

But he didn't know how to choose. Just when he was at a loss, the words in front of him changed. The zombie virus exercise was activated. It seemed that he only needed to think about it by himself.

As for such a bizarre thing, Allen was shocked at first, but then he felt relieved. He thought it was because God took care of him that such a thing happened to him.

"Zombie virus practice begins, please choose the accompanying talent:"

"Little appetite, gunslinger, virus antibody, goddess of luck..."

Looking at the line of words in front of him, Allen hesitated, but he quickly made his choice.

"The choice is successful!"

"Little appetite (two-star): little appetite is very suitable for the situation after the outbreak of the virus."

"Gunslinger (three-star): no matter what kind of weapon it is, it can be perfectly used in your hand."

"Virus antibody (three-star): your body has produced virus antibody, and any virus won't work against you."

Then a line of small red words appeared on the side.

It turned out that the talents were graded, one-star meant the lowest, and the four-star meant the highest. This time, there were two three-star talents.

Allen felt that he was blessed by God.

"The practice begins."

"On the first day, you have already expected it. You collected a lot of food and water and hid at home."

"On the second day, the virus was found in the slum and spread quickly. With your virus antibody, you rushed out of the slum. However, you met an FBI carrying an RPG and was killed in a single blow as a zombie..."

"After the practice, you can choose a talent for accompanying and keep it forever in reality."

"Zombie virus practice starts to cool down, practice days: 2; cooldown time: 2 minutes."

"Oh, shit, motherfucker."

Allen, who had just come back to his senses, cursed. Damn FBI! He had thought about what might happen to him a lot, but he didn't expect to be killed by an RPG.

But it didn't matter. It was just a practice. What the system said next made Allen excited.

He could choose to keep his accompanying talent forever in reality. If that was the case, then ten days later, if he faced the outbreak of the zombie virus, he would be like a God.

Perhaps the system had sensed Allen's thought.

"You can only choose to keep one accompanying talent every day. After you keep it, you can bring it into the next practice, without occupying the position of accompanying talent."

"I can practice countless times a day, but I can only keep one accompanying talent."

"After the outbreak of the zombie virus, the system can activate the practice again, but you can't keep your accompanying talent."

Looking at the messages, Allen thought for a while, but he was still very excited. Even if he couldn't become God, he would have at least ten accompanying talents in the ten days.

It was also an exciting thing!

But he also thought of the next question, which was, once he retained an accompanying gift, would he be able to replace it on this day.

After all, he would meet something better.

"It can replace the talent for accompanying on that day. You can only keep one accompanying talent every day. If you don't choose to keep it, you won't keep the quota until the next day."

Hearing this, Allen felt a little regretful. Luck was a magic thing. Maybe he met the one-star accompanying talent, or maybe he met the five-star accompanying talent.

But he still had to obey the rules.

"When will the daily replacement start?"

Soon, a question came to Allen's mind.

"From the first simulation."

Allen looked at the broken watch. It was about half past two in the afternoon.

In that case, the number of times would be reset after half past two tomorrow.

From the hint of the system, it could be seen that if he had lived longer in the practice, the time of cooldown would be longer, so he had to keep an eye on it.

If he didn't meet the accompanying talent he wanted, he would choose some that seemed to make him die fast. In that case, he could live short and quickly enter the next practice.

At this moment, Allen seemed to be possessed by Conan, and everything was very clear in his mind.

But now, he had to make his first choice.

Little appetite, virus antibody, gunslinger.

After careful consideration, Allen still chose the virus antibody. After all, in that case, once he was injured, even a small wound, it was highly possible to be infected.

As for the gift of being a gunslinger, Allen had considered it for a long time. After all, every family had a few guns, but he still gave up.

It was too limited. After all, the bullets would always be used up. He had to wait for a perfect accompanying talent.

Then Allen focused on the talent for the virus antibody.

"Successfully chosen. Keeping it."

Just as this line of words appeared in front of Allen's eyes, a hot stream instantly poured into his body, like a magma.

Allen's body was burning hot, and beads of sweat fell to the ground. With a closer look, Allen's skin turned red.

The pain made Allen unable to even cry out. He could only silently pray to God in his heart.

Fortunately, the feeling didn't last long. When Allen was about to faint, the feeling disappeared.

All of a sudden, Allen seemed to have used up all his strength and fell to the ground. His eyes were full of exhaustion.

"Shit."

Allen swore that he had never spoken so many dirty words as today.

But when he thought of the outbreak of the zombie virus in ten days, even if the pain was not a big deal, he had to pay attention to it in the future.

He must choose to lie on the bed. It did hurt a little when he fell to the ground.

He managed to hold the bed and sat on it. Allen focused his eyes again.

"Successfully kept it."

"It has cooled down. Shall we start the zombie virus practice?"

"Yes."

"Zombie virus practice begins, please choose the accompanying talent:"

"Strength, quick talker, master of cuisine, turning waste into treasure..."

The moment Allen saw these talents, he guessed that he would die very soon, let alone these fancy talents.

They were all one-star and two-star accompanying talents, which were beyond Allen's consideration. Therefore, he just wanted to pick a few that would make him die fast this time and enter the next practice as soon as possible.

So, Allen didn't think about it seriously and just ordered a few casually.

"The choice is successful!"

"Strength (one-star): you have infinite strength, but you are dull."

"Quick talker (one-star): you are a good talker. You can try to persuade the zombies."

"Turning waste into a treasure (two-star): even a stone can emit its light here. "

Somehow, Allen wanted to laugh when he saw these accompanying gifts.

"On the first day, you have been prepared to leave the slum before the zombie virus explodes."

"On the second day, you met mutated FBI and planned to persuade it, but unfortunately you failed."
