My Queen and My Partner

There was always a tingling feeling in Holly's stomach every time Felix was this kind. Felix acted like her real future husband. Even though their marriage would be real, Holly was sure that their relationship would never be real.

"Thank you." That had always been Holly's mainstay to answer when she started to lose words.

They continued on their way toward the castle without another word. However, Holly could feel Felix's eyes fixed on her all the way back.

Adda welcomed them home with a frown. "We've prepared dinner, Your Majesty," said Adda, glancing at Holly.

Holly's hair was messy because she had just woken up from sleep and she forgot to tidy it up again. While Felix appeared half-naked. Anyone who saw them would think they had a hot night.

Holly rushed into her room, not letting the maids in.

"Would you like some warm water for a bath, Your Highness?" asked the maids from outside the room.

"No, thank you." Holly didn't even have the guts to see them again.

The day had come when everything would change.

Nervous attacked Holly, and she found it difficult to breathe. She squeezed the sides of her dress. Today she wore a golden gown, suited her pale skin.

Cass was still standing beside her. If Holly remembered, Cass was always with her whenever she was nervous.

In a few minutes, she would be crowned as a Queen. Her life would completely change. Even though she was stoned and accused of stealing only a few days ago. Now she will become a Queen, reign and live.

The giant door in front of her opened. The vast main hall stretched out in front of her, inviting Holly to enter.

As Felix's confidant, Cass accompanied Holly into the hall, holding her hand tightly. They walked on the red carpet, past dozens of nobles standing on the right and left, toward Felix who was sitting quietly on the throne.

They stopped in front of Felix, waiting for The King to approach. Cass deliberately stepped aside so that Felix could stand in front of Holly freely.

"As I told you before, I have appointed Holly Reloux to be a Queen. Giving the rights that rightfully belong to her," Felix spoke loudly to all the guests present.

No one dared to speak or argue. Everyone lowered their heads and accepted Felix's decision. Even if they denied him, Felix would not accept it.

"This woman is a human. But she is still a descendant of our brother, Justin Reloux. This is a tribute to all that the Reloux family has done for us."

Holly held her breath. Felix looked different from yesterday. He was more fierce with his sharp eyes. There was no more soft Felix. The man in front of her was the King Grisia, whom many people fear. The Beast.

Felix took out a sword that Gilbert had prepared. The sword had an engraving on the side. Holly was sure it wasn't a sword used for war, more like a relic.

Holly bent her legs, kneeling before Felix respectfully.

"I, Felix Knox, The King of Grisia, make you Holly Reloux to be a Queen for my people. Luna for Grisia and…" There was a slight pause before Felix continued.

"A partner for me, The King," Felix continued as he touched the sword to the right and left of Holly's shoulder.

"Accept my orders, and you have to give yourself for the kingdom and the Royal."

Holly lowered her head. "I accept it, Your Majesty."

Felix took a crown. The crown was white, surrounded by diamonds and a purple stone at the centre. He put it on Holly carefully.

Felix grabbed Holly's arm and asked her to stand up. "Now, you are my Queen," he said quietly.

Right after Holly stood up, Cass shouted, "To the moon and your eternity, Your Majesty." She kneeled down.

"To the moon and your eternity!" Everyone screamed and kneeled down like her.

Holly's eyes widened. Her hands trembled, and tears were almost falling from her eyes.

[Is this real?]

Usually, she had to be kneeled down and mocked, but now it's the other way around. She received higher respect than in her previous life. If this is a dream, please don't wake her up.

Felix held her hand. His face was still as hard as before. At this point, Holly could feel how strong he was.

"Whoever betrayed her betrayed me too," Felix shouted, echoing throughout the hall.

Astragus was the first to return to his feet. Holly got goosebumps when she saw his eyes. The old man had an unfriendly look that made anyone reluctant to look at him.

"Why don't you marry her, Your Majesty?" asked Astragus. Only he dared to ask when hundreds of others were silent.

But, after hearing Astragus's question, those people started a murmur. Felix raised his hand, telling them to calm down.

Instead of answering right away, Felix took Holly by the hand, leading her to the chair beside his throne. "You can just sit and watch," Felix whispered.

His smirk came back. Holly hated it, but at least that smirk wasn't for her this time. As Felix ordered, Holly sat quietly and watched Felix as he swaggered towards their midst.

"Isn't it inappropriate to have a wedding party in these conditions? My people are suffering and have to hide in the forest. How can I have a wedding?" Felix walked on the red carpet, surrounding those nobles who looked nervous with his presence.

"Then, what will you do, Your Majesty?" Astragus asked again.

Holly reminded herself not to make trouble with the old man. If he dared to fight Felix, he must be a red flag.

Felix stopped in front of his throne. His eyes fixed on Astragus, full of hatred.

"As you wish. Take back my kingdom."

Everyone looked shocked, but they seemed to doubt it instead of being happy.

"Didn't you say there would be no war?" This time it was a short noble who asked.

Felix laughed loudly. "Good grief, you guys think I'm that stupid? You've lived hundreds of years, didn't sleep like me, yet you still can't think any smarter?"

No one answered because they didn't get what Felix meant. Felix stopped laughing. His jaw tightened, and his cold face looked scarier.

"How do you think I got this throne? Did I need war to take it?"

Everyone was getting nervous. They knew precisely how Felix could sit on the throne. Even they witnessed it with their own eyes six hundred years ago. The cruelty of a young prince who managed to defeat a tyrant.

But Holly had no clue. She knew they would take over the kingdom, and Holly didn't care anymore. After everything that happened, Holly realized Felix was a real King and the king who now ruled Grisia couldn't possibly defeat him.

[How will he do it?] Holly had the same questions as those nobles earlier.

Felix sat on his throne. His eyes were still focused on the people who were waiting for his answer. But his hand secretly held Holly's. He squeezed Holly's hand gently and told her not to worry.

"I will kill him. The fake King. The same way how I kill my father."
