The King Came Back

"Does that mean...."

"You're mine." Felix interrupted Holly's sentence. He looked at Holly with seriousness.

Holly bit her lip. Didn't that mean she couldn't escape from Felix even if the curse was over? But why were there butterflies dancing in her stomach?

"And I'm yours."

Holly gulped. Felix, the alpha King, belonged to her? That sounded too much for an ordinary human like her. Being a Queen was already great, and now she got Felix.

"I'm serious. We can't be separated."

Felix's eyes showed that he wasn't joking. Holly was getting more and more nervous about her uncertain destiny. She wasn't sure if this was a good or bad sign for her.

Felix himself was also not sure if what he did was wrong. All he knew was that he wanted Holly to belong to him. Only for him.

Their eyes met each other, sharing feelings they didn't understand. A feeling that made their chests feel tight, but their hearts wanted to jump for joy. A feeling that made them want to cry but be happy at the same time. The feeling became more real when Felix approached Holly.

Felix clenched his fist. Whenever he saw Holly, he wanted to pull her in a hug and kiss her plump lips.

"I need to go." Felix made an excuse before he lost control. For some time, he decided to keep his distance.

"The King is dead!"

Announcements reverberated across the country. Everyone stopped their activities and looked at the palace guard who brought the news with shocked faces. Moments later, a murmur started to sound throughout the kingdom. Not only in the capital but this news has also been spread to all regions.

Several people began to gather in front of the palace. They must be worried about the future of this kingdom. They had lost the crown prince five years ago, and now the King was dead. The only hope was the prince, who never showed himself.

"What happened? Are we under attack from the enemy?"

"Why did the King suddenly die?"

"What will happen to us now?"

Everyone panicked and confused, standing in despair in front of the palace door. Some even come from far away areas just to seek certainty.

"Everyone, calm down!" A man in a knight uniform came out.

Everyone was silent while holding their breath. About a thousand people were standing outside the castle's ramparts, all of them looking to confirm the kingdom's future.

That knight looked around, and his eyes found several werewolves crowding among the humans. Those wolves look surprised by his presence.

"The King of Grisia has died due to illness. The throne will be passed on to the only descendant of the royal family."

Everyone waited tensely. They weren't sure about this new King. They never saw him in person; how could they leave Grisia's future in his hands?

"Our future King humbly wishes to greet all of you today. To ensure you that this country will be fine. There is nothing for you to worry about. Pay your respects to our new crown prince... Prince Felix."

The palace door opened. Everyone's eyes widened as they watched the blue-robed man walk out with sturdy steps. Several wolves who saw him also gaped in shock. Their King came back!

A moment later, they all immediately bowed respectfully. This time it wasn't because of Felix's strength but their desire to honour the future King.

"Stand up. Don't you want to see my face?"

They raised their faces doubtfully. Seeing the royal family's face was an act of disrespect. But curiosity made them couldn't hold it anymore. The second prince, who had been hidden all this time, was now standing in front of them.

All eyes were stunned, mouths were open, and every breath was choked. The prince's eyes, nose, lips, and every inch of his appearance were beautiful. They stared in awe, never seeing a man as handsome as that.

"The king must have hidden him because he was too handsome."

"I thought I was going to faint."

"Shouldn't he immediately find a partner?"

The girls started whispering to each other. Their heads filled with the question of how to get the heart of such a handsome prince.

Felix smiled, seeing the positive reactions from the humans. He couldn't wait to introduce Holly as Queen and see their reactions. But now, his smile was like a wind that swept every woman's heart.

Not only the women but even his knights were also surprised to see his smile. Recently, their cold-hearted King smiled too much. They believe long sleep made him lose his mind.

They all didn't know that Felix just thought about Holly's face.

Cass thought sparing some humans official was a bad idea. But tonight, Felix did something even worse. Inviting humans to a banquet.

Felix left several humans for government official positions. Most of them were nobles who had a werewolves lineage. Felix said it would be suspicious if they removed them all at once.

But a banquet was a different problem. It had been a week since the King was declared dead and two more days before Felix would be crowned as a King. Which was a joke for Cass because Felix had been King long ago. The village for his people has been completed and has been occupied. They had been living side by side with humans for the past few days.

Felix had also placed his previous official into the government line. So tonight, he wanted to unite all nobles, human or not. It is crucial for him so that they can live together.

The party was lively. The nobles were present with joy, although some people like Astragus were still frowning because they hated Felix's idea. But at least they didn't cause any problems.

Unfortunately, Holly hasn't been allowed out yet. She was not introduced to the public until Felix officially became King.

Holly sat on the bed, listening to the music playing in her room. This atmosphere reminded her of the past when her family was still happy and enjoying the banquet. Her father would put his eyes on her, looking for a man who was worthy of her. While Arthur would panic surrounded by women.

Holly laughed at the memory. But now, all she could do was just stay in this room.

Curiosity made Holly nervous, and she couldn't take it anymore. She wanted to see the situation outside. Was it true that Felix has united his people with humans?

Holly sneaked out of her room. The distance from the hall to her room was quite far, but not many people were there because they were gathered in the hall.

Holly's smile raised when the hall door was in front of her. Beside the door was a staircase leading to the hall's second floor. She could go upstairs, which was empty and watch from there without being noticed.

"Aahhh!" Holly screamed. Suddenly her hair was pulled back. Pain hit her head, and she couldn't let go.

"What are your doing here? You should have been eaten by the beast!"
