Michael's POV
I leaned against the side of the car watching as Havana smiled and laughed with several pack members. They were all more supportive than I had anticipated; even the ones who were standoffish to her seemed to brighten in her presence.
“Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.”
Jack stood beside me; his hands tucked inside the pockets of his faded blue jeans. He had been quiet throughout the entire ordeal of searching for Havana. He did everything that I asked with little to no complaints or opinions of how I was handling the situation.
“It seems so.”
The silence hung with unsaid words, and I wasn’t sure if I should be grateful or fearful of those unsaid words. Havana was back with me and safe again, I’m sure Jack had something to say about everything. It wasn’t in his nature to have nothing to say.
“I’ve been spending a lot of time with Claire.”
