Chapter 2 Mrs. Hughes

Outside the villa of the Hughes family.

Lisa was sobbing.

In the luxury car, Wilson's slender hands were casually placed on the edge of the open window. His handsome face seemed to be the most satisfactory work of God. He pursed his thin lips and listened patiently to Lisa's exaggerated cry.

Looking at her swollen face, Wilson, who was not satisfied with the marriage, felt more disgusted.

The butler knew that Wilson was back and came to greet him in a hurry, only to see that Wilson was sitting in the car and said proudly, "Let her out. What's wrong? Does she need me to invite her out?"

Butler didn't dare to disobey. He turned around to ask for help, but he was stunned as soon as he entered the living room.

Selina fell asleep on the sofa in such a short time.

Because of the long trip, she had a sweet sleep. A trace of saliva on her lips was particularly eye-catching.

She was asking for death! But he thought of what had happened to Lisa, Levitt went out to report.

"No rules!"

Wilson's eyes darkened. He got off the car and walked into the villa.

He walked to the sofa and pulled the sleeping Selina up.

Selina shivered and woke up completely.

She wiped her mouth, touched her glasses, and put them on. Then she looked at the man in front of her who looked like a demon.

She was sitting, while the man was standing, making him look more and more tall and proud.

Wilson?

Her fiancé was the one who messed with an ill-bred woman in the bathroom outside the train station!

Selina, who didn't like the so-called engagement, was more determined to break off the engagement!

After taking a rest, Selina's disheveled hair looked like a chicken nest.

Wilson had imagined what this country girl would look like, but the reality was more puzzling than he imagined.

She was barbaric. If he married her, he would become a joke in California!

"Wil... Wil... Wilson..." Selina pushed her glasses and tried her best to call his name.

Wilson's face darkened and said coldly, "Wilson."

Well, it was really him!

Selina grinned and said, "So, you are my fiancé. You are so arrogant."

He left Selina alone at the dock and didn't come in when he got home. At last, he had to come in to invite her in.

As long as he hated her, he should call off the engagement as soon as possible! Then everything she pretended now was acceptable.

Wilson didn't have a good impression of her. He turned around and said, "Get ready. Follow me to see grandma."

Was the grandma he referred to Mrs. Hughes?

Selina pulled down her hair and followed Wilson with a canvas bag.

As soon as they got in the car, Wilson glanced at the bag in her hand in disgust.

Most girls went out with branded bags, but she was just a rag bag!

With a cold face, Wilson threw a blank cheque at her.

Wasn't this kind of country girl just for money? As long as she didn't marry him.

While Selina was holding the check, her big eyes twinkled.

This man was quite sensible. If she had known that she could call off the engagement with him with some money, she would not have pretended to be an idiot.

"How much do you want?" Selina pushed her glasses and asked him seriously.

Wilson slowly looked at her. He found although the girl was a little rustic, the features behind the glasses were very beautiful, with a very special style, and even a little familiar.

Afraid that he might not understand, Selina pushed down her glasses and said, "How much do you want? How much money can you leave me? You know, we don't have affections. Even if we get married reluctantly, we won't be happy. Why don't you take the money and tell your grandmother that you want to break off the engagement? It's okay. You can give the price as you like. Don't be afraid of frightening me."

Wilson's expression became more and more playful as if the person sitting in front of him was a fool.

Did she ask him to make a price? Let him leave her?

The joke was so funny that he even ignored why she suddenly stopped stammering.

"Are you rich?" He asked in reply with a sneer, and his face darkened. "Or, you have also heard those rumors. Are you worried that you will die of being cursed because of me?"

Damnation? Selina had heard from her grandfather that Wilson was a very rich man, but the fortune-teller had predicted that he would curse the people close to him. Only her star character and his star character could help him to remove his curse.

That was why Wilson's grandmother insisted on her.

Selina had seen his astrolabe. It was indeed a little troublesome, but it didn't affect her at all.

Wait, money...

Selina froze. She forgot that her grandfather had dealt with all her credit cards, stocks, funds, houses, and luxury cars to force her to marry. Now she was penniless!

She was afraid of the sudden silence. Fortunately, Wilson's phone rang, which saved her from embarrassment.

It was a call from the doctor of Mrs. Hughes. He told Wilson that the result of grandma's examination was not good.

After hanging up the phone, Wilson's face became colder.

He asked the driver to drive, but he said to Selina in a cold voice, "You're right. I won't marry you. But today is my grandmother's birthday. To make her happy, we can make do with it for a while. You can cooperate with me and deceive my grandmother. Of course, you can ask whatever conditions you want."

His phone wasn't soundproof. Even Selina had heard what he said on the phone just now.

It turned out that Mrs. Hughes was sick.

His grandfather had always said that Mrs. Hughes had helped him a lot, so he wanted to repay her.

Since she was sick, it was inappropriate to call off the engagement at once.

Selina nodded reluctantly and said, "Okay, okay. I'll make it up first."

Make do with it? It was okay for Wilson to say that. But when it came to a vulgar girl...

Was it terrible for her to be his fiancée?

It was the birthday of Mrs. Hughes. The manor of the Hughes family was crowded with guests.

After getting out of the car, Wilson naturally wanted to hold Selina's hand. However, to her surprise, she went straight away with a cold face.

A country girl with a bad temper!

"Come in later. Remember, don't talk too much!"

Wilson followed up and reminded her. Before entering the door, he pulled her hand over and put it between his arms.

But in an instant, she took away her arm again!

In the manor, there was an endless stream of rich and powerful people who came to celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Hughes.

She was having a business dinner when she saw Wilson and Selina.

"Wilson, is this the granddaughter-in-law I've been looking forward to, Selina? Come here and let me have a look!"

Mrs. Hughes pulled Selina over and asked about Selina with a smile.

Next to them, Mrs. Lorry exchanged a look with her daughter, Vivian.

Vivian and Selina were half-sisters. Because the two families had been engaged when they were children, Lorry was greedy for the power of the Hughes family and always wanted to help Wilson and Vivian get married. Therefore, she often talked about it with her husband.

However, Mrs. Lorry was pissed off by the sudden appearance of Selina.

Especially when she saw her, this wild girl looked like a country bumpkin from head to toe. How could she compare with her dear daughter, Vivian?

After understanding what she meant, Vivian walked up to her gracefully and said in a sweet voice, "Sister, mother and I knew that you would come back today. We have been waiting for you at the airport for more than two hours. I didn't expect that you would come to see Mrs. Hughes first. You are very kind."

Lorry echoed with resentment, "It's okay to see Mrs. Hughes. But did you call mom first? Alas, I called you but didn't answer."

Then she smiled apologetically at Mrs. Hughes and said, "My daughter grew up in the countryside and has some bad manners. Don't worry. I will teach her well when we go back and let her try to deserve the young master."

The others understood what she meant.

This country girl tried her best to marry Wilson. Therefore, after getting off the plane, she ignored her family and went to the Hughes family's mansion.

But she didn't take the mirror to look at herself. It was widely acknowledged that Vivian was a lady from a well-known family in a rich and powerful circle with talents and good looks. Now that the two sisters came here at the same time, they couldn't be more different.

Mrs. Hughes had never seen Selina before. Now that she had seen her, how could she let her precious grandson marry such a bumpkin girl?

She was not only a bumpkin but also ambitious.
