Zelia’s cackle echos around the entire room as I break away from her and start adjusting myself.
“Such a prude. Let whoever walks in see us. Just like old times.”
My cheeks flush and Zelia erupts into another cackle. Soon enough, Allie walks in and tries to silently close the door. Zelia wipes a tear away from her eye from her latest eruption. Her smile falls a little as she turns and watches Allie. "Just let it close girl. If it slams, it slams."
I watch her let the door fall the rest of the way, a small thump the only sound it makes. "Good morning, Ms. Riviera."
She crosses the room and watches me from the corner of her eye, "Should I leave, Mr. Fairweather?"
"No, no," I laugh wearily, my hands still busy fumbling with the buttons on my jacket. "I forgot a charger for my tablet. Thought I'd grab one before something happens mid-presentation."
