At a blood-thirsty castle in Dover, England, the chief vampire Lazarus has taken a woman from her home and holds her captive. He needs the blood from her to keep him young and powerful.
Drusilla is loved by her husband and her daughter, Ambrosia, but when Lazarus turns her into a vampire, she has no idea that she had a past life. 
As time passes, after her mother's disappearance Ambrosia meets Nikolas, a young man. They fall in love, but it is finally revealed that Nikolas is Lazarus's son and is controlled by his father. Nikolas must find a way to turn Ambrosia into a vampire for his father's vampire kingdom, but he goes against his father's wishes and turmoil begins. 
Talon and Ambrosia must save Drusilla; the only way is for Talon to kill Lazarus. Will she be saved in time, or will she die in the vampire's abyss?

SECRETS IN THE SHADOWS

Talon, Nikolas, and Ambrosia sit in the cave discussing the next attack. Nikolas tells them that if the two vampires do not feed off a human soon, they will die without human blood. He then tells them that if a vampire does not have human blood within the 24 hours, they become a vampire they will die. So, they really do not need to worry about those two right now. 


Nikolas says, "I have an idea. Here's what I am going to do. Tomorrow night I will go to my father's castle, alone. I will act like I am just visiting him, and I will find out where Drusilla is."


Ambrosia replies, "You're not going there alone, we will go with you."


Talon says, "Yes. We are going with you. What if she's there tomorrow night? Then what?"


Nikolas replies. "Let me go there alone. This is the only way to find out what they are doing without any suspicion that we all know what happened to Drusilla."
