Chapter 5

“Why is it so hot in here?” Carson moaned. I ignored him laughing under my breath. “Don’t you people believe in air conditioning?” He griped pulling off his jacket and tossing it onto an old green velvet chaise that sat in the corner.

“For someone who is not easily bothered be you sure do complain a lot.” I teased.

“I run hot. And it’s a sauna in here.” He retorted rolling up the sleeves of his already tight sky-blue t-shirt. The arms now digging into his biceps accentuating his muscles.

“So, you mentioned.” I whispered eyeing him through the shelves of books.
