Walking up the steps to Westhaven High was like something out of a movie. The air was electric. The music that pulsated from inside, hung on the night air, sending a rhythm across the parking lot. Kids, dressed in their finest smiled and laughed as if they had been waiting their whole lives for this night. Lights flashed from every window and all I could think was how lucky I was to be here with Carson. How lucky we were to be here together.


Gavin and Sophie walked arm in arm into the building before us. They seemed so happy. Perfect for one another. Even his black suit and teal tie matched her glittery dress to a tee.
