SPELLbound

In that moment my heart stopped for a few seconds. Everything slowed and the room began to tilt. 


“Everly? Did you hear me?” He called placing a hand on my shoulder. His voice growing louder. I shook my head in an attempt to absorb his words.


“They’ve taken him.” He repeated his breathing finally calming. He slowly followed me into the room. 


“Wait, who? Who has taken him?” I questioned.


“What do you mean taken?” I asked walking back into the room. I grabbed my phone off the bed and checked my messages from him. Still nothing.  


He sighed in frustration “Taken. As in kidnapped, bound, gagged!” he blurted out running his hands through his hair anxiously. 


“Because they know about the two of you.” My entire body stiffened. Sweat began to bead on my forehead, my mouth was clammy and dry. “What?” I asked sitting down slowly on the bed. Everything that I had feared was coming to pass.
