[ 1866 Ether Acquired]
Dear god, this must be what crack feels like! I get it!
I squeezed my lids shut, trying to suck in this overwhelming sensation coursing through my veins like liquid fire with each pump of my heart. With each tremor of my being harmonizing with this sensation of bliss, I felt my pores part as ether rained over me, welcoming in a world of saturated wonder.
My eyes opened: Welcoming a new world.

"Wow," Said Eryth, utterly stupefied. " You might be the most unladylike person I've ever seen in my life. I don't believe I've ever seen someone literally lick the plate clean. At least not in public."
"Eh?"
I looked down, my heart shattered, as tears trickled down at the whites of the plate, hitting against the silver in each of my hands.
"No," I stammered as tears slipped over the rim of my mask and down my cheek. "But…but I—"
"You're mad! It's only food. What are you crying for?" Said Eryth wittily. "Azazel's Blade!" He then cursed, shaking his head, and my eyes were drawn to his plate of what seemed like a scarlet lollipop chicken. I could practically smell the spices from here.
"Please?"
"Your kidding."
"Pretty please?" I muttered, stretching my hand forward as he slapped it away with a light swat as though I was a child.
"Ouch!"
He smiled. " Your brave trying to steal my food. I've killed men for less."
"Too bad I'm a woman,"
"Could have fooled me ." He teased, pulling his meal closer to his abdomen. "This is mine."
"Please?" I heard myself say, almost like a little girl begging for sweets. My cheeks heated, and my head lowered as I soon found myself unable to look upon Eryth. What the hell is wrong with me?
Gods, I need some money. I feel like Mother begging Father to cook her something. But who knows, this would be so—Wait a second.

"I'm a third-stage Mystic Page!" I soon erupted, rising to my feet. " H-How? No, that's not the issue. This formula. How strange there's a random element locked inside. What is the random element? How high does it go?"
A/N: 1.25((2*d4)+20) Or Bloodline((2*d4)+Arcane)
"Four,' Answered Lily. " The formula involves your bloodline and the Arcana. I could give the formula if you like, but I'm sure you've already worked it out."
I gave a slight nod. "Thanks, Lily, I've got it. What a simple little combination."
"Lily? who are you talking to?"
My brow creased, "I'll thank you for this meal now, but I've got to go. When can I expect to be initiated into the Order of Inquisitors?"
"I'll hand you your badge tomorrow," he said, and I nodded.
"Then I offer my goodbyes," I said rather quickly, scurrying off.
It wasn't that I didn't trust Eryth. I don't trust anyone. But Lily was a topic I didn't wish to have. She was a part of my blood, a consciousness that sprouted out from what I am: She knew my thoughts, wishes, and dreams. She was me, and I, her. Not to mention that girl was a piece of work.
Making it back to the Adventure's Guilds, my heart hammered as I saw Kali staring at me, covering her nose, and pointing through a corridor, " Did you bathe in shit? Bloody hell, I've smelt pig shit that has smelled better than you. Off you go. The showers are that way. Or maybe we should send you to the latrine to let you clean the dung off your face!"
"Is there a change of clothes?"
"You were out all day. Did you not buy anything?"
"Ah, I forgot!" I blurted out tearfully, recalling there was something I needed to do. Not to mention I'm a broke B
"Goodness sake, you're pretty forgetful, aren't you? Just enter the showers. I'll have a change of clothing prepared for you," said Kali waving me off.
Lamenting inwardly, I raced to the showers, finding them at the end of the corridor on the first floor, and entered the empty woman's section this night.
—
Fog danced over my head, pulling the moisture from my red skin as I sat in a ball, allowing the water to strike from above. It was shocking to know this world had showers like these, but I didn't care. Having washed the black filth sink down the drain for five minutes, I sat here, promising myself I'll never head back there.
A little depressed at my life, I lifted my head, allowing steaming water to strike me. "Lily, open the system shop."
Watching a virtual screen pop up, I wiped the water entering my eyes, and I stared at the screen with Five tabs: Skills, Items, Spells, System Upgrades, and Legacy Build.

[Please choose Arcane Field]
[Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, Lightning, Darkness, Light, Blood, —]
Scanning through the hundreds of Arcane Fields. My eyes widen in shock at the hundreds of options. And yet only a few caught my eye: Gravity, Lunar, Lightning, Electromagnetism, and Abyss.
"Lily, aren't I part of the Abyss? Shouldn't I have, oh, I don't know, skills from the Abyss? Something innate?"
"Yup." She answered. "Guess you can scratch out the Abyssal Portion."
"Then what is Lunar? I can only assume it's the moon."
"It's a combination of light and dark." She answered, "It's an odd mixture that results in something magical. But if I had to go with anything, it would be—"
"Gravity." I finished, leaning my head back over the shower door. " One of the strongest forces of nature that have yet to be proven. If you've got mass, you've got gravity. There is no stopping gravity, as all beings are tied to its infinite range. However, I could just go with the reality-warping options. But if I can manipulate dark matter, then…."
Lily was silent.
"I'll pick gravity. Who knows how hard it will be to control reality-warping abilities? Although Electromagnetism is a good choice. But I'm feeling gravity. "
There was a sigh of relief from lily as the system rang.

Pain like a battering ram slapped against my neuro network, stiffing my muscles, and I keened over. My head struck the cobblestone, and at that moment, information unlike anything I'd seen before, pierced my core.
My heart turned cold, and for the briefest moment, less than a second, the burning hot water striking against my skin felt like piercing shards of ice. I'd wanted to scream and howl, but no matter what I did, I couldn't move. I couldn't move!
But… But I wasn't scared. I should be. I really should, but I could only hear Father's laughter in the back of my mind. "It's alright, Iza,' he'd say, patting my hair, "It's only pain. We Snows are Gods. Beings of utter Chaos. Never fear pain. Embrace it, and allow it to course through you. Embrace its madness."
