Trouble II

Catching sight of my brother, I almost lunged towards him as a wave of relief like no other fluttered my heart. I held my step. And looked past Crowe towards the outside, towards a young woman whose features were anything but sublime. She was one of the most beautiful people I'd seen. And yet. I could feel a sliver of ice within that one, a coldness that she had hidden behind a veil. Was she the Princess?

"What's going on?"

"Oh, you hurt me, dear sister!" Crowe remarked in a flamboyant display of his arms as he advanced on my position, hooking his arms around my neck as always, whether it was at school or home. "How I've missed you! Both our Fathers would have killed me if something had happened to you."

Feeling my cheeks heat up, I sighed, giving in a bit as one arm hugged Crowe.

"Not good enough! Both arms. I swear you introverts need help expressing yourselves."

"Not my fault. You know I hate talking to people: Family included."
