Pulling Cece away before things worsened, we stood in utter silence as the shame in her little heart only began to burn the longer we journeyed.

"Where are you taking me." She finally asked.

I looked back at her grumbling expression and smiled. "Are you hungry?"

Cece nodded. " A little… I haven't eaten in days."

Noticing the blood ebbing down her busted lip, I opened my palm, and an emerald light bled through as I spoke in the ancient tongue of the Elves.

Pushing Abyssal Qi through my meridians, the emerald nodes shone rich color that warmed the young woman's teary face.

"I had to." She said…" I had to.
