Unsure when time began to move so quickly, nearly two months had passed since the day Vesyrn bombed all those mortals below Blood Haven. And to my surprise, no one seemed to worry too much about who had died. Their only concern was refortifying Blood Haven to ensure the safety of students.

Lowkey, these people were all insane. But I guess faulting them isn't really fair since Vesyrn's technique can somehow manipulate memories. Though at a heavy price. For two weeks, Ves was bedridden, coughing up a mouthful of black blood. But after a month, he seemed alright, just a little pale of color.

Still, it was nice spending so much time with Ves. Especially since he was teaching me Abyssal Magic, Mother taught him.

I kind of wished I paid attention back in the day. But hey! Who can blame me? I thought my parents were delusional.

Finishing the last bit of homework from Professor Evark Tomak, I lifted the small dagger with a bright grin on my face.
