Fraser didn't react at first, thinking the demon was playing a trick on him, but when he heard the key unlocking the cell door, he walked to the opened door to leave. He was impatient waiting for some news about his mother and Amelia. He could not spend another second in the disgusting cell surrounded by people who were beneath him.

It was about time Amelia properly addressed him so he knew what was going to happen to him and what had happened to his mother.  He hated to think that his mother abandoned him and took the chance to leave without him.
