Back to The Real World

"I'm back... huh..." Lyan muttered to himself, scratching his head as he eyed his still-steaming cup of coffee. The gargoyle beside him, chomping happily on bread, seemed entirely unperturbed by his return.

"Man, that was... Something," Lyan continued, shaking his head in disbelief. "Never thought I'd run into 'them' again after kicking Tiamat's butt."

He took a sip of his coffee, making a face at its bitter taste. "Well, if anything can wake me up, it's that."

But as he sat there, lost in thought, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was still so much left to figure out. "Seems like there's always more stuff to uncover and mull over," he muttered, running a hand through his hair.

He glanced at the gargoyle again, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "You're taking this all in stride, huh? Wish I could be as chill as you."
