"Good morning sunshine." Leo sat on a chair right next to Nana, laid in a hospital bed, "You've been knocked out for about 4 hours, you've missed the entire first trial, come, I'll show you."
Nana was sitting in her hospital bed, both of her arms and legs had been cut off, leaving Nana in bandages.
"Oh, your limbs? Don't worry, you'll regrow them when you turn back into a Dicere." Leo picked up Nana and placed her into a wheelchair and wheeled her to the balcony, "Amazing view today." Leo opened the door of the balcony and the ciew oversaw a destroyed city, "Don't worry, this is the second trial."
Nana's entire face had been covered in bandages, she could not talk.
"Well, I'm sure you're surprised as to what happened." Leo turned the wheel chair around and placed it infront of the chair, "Well I guess I should explain." Leo sat in the chair, "I'm a sorcerer, my job is to kill diceres. You are a student, your job is to pass the license exam and become a sorcerer like me. Pretty simple right? This is where Diceres come in. Diceres are bad guys who ruin the peace of the world and we sorcerers kill them to keep you guys safe." Leo pushed his chair closer to Nana, "You are a dicere."
Nana started to talk but her tongue had been cut off.
"Don't try to talk, you'll just be in more pain than you already are." Leo took out a piece of paper from his pocket, "You're a special case you know? Usually when I see a Dicere, I kill them. But you're different. You're not a full Dicere. You're still human." Leo started to write down something, "And it'd be a pity if we just let your talent go to waste. So I'm here to give you an offer." Leo showed the piece of paper to Nana. It was a contract offering Nana an A class license exam and guaranteed protection from the Society Of United Laftis in exchange for her work as a sorcerer, "Sign this if you agree and want to take the deal, sign it before midnight or else I have the legal right to kill you. You have 8 hours to think."
Leo closed the door and locked it.
Nana's eyes started to go black, mimicking her Dicere form. Her body start to morph and she started to regrow her arms and legs. The furniture in the room started to get destroyed, the paint on the walls falling off.
"God dam Dicere." Leo walked out of the building with a cigarette in his mouth.
Nana had entered her Dicere form again, her limbs completely regrown. The whole room was destroyed besides the piece of paper. Nana picked up a pen and signed it.
"Ignotus, where the hell are you." Nana said, "You could've reminded time to before I was a Dicere. Do it now." Nana looked at the desk beside her bed and picked the book up. She could feel that something was wrong. The book had no soul or weight. She flipped open the page and the pages were ripped, shredded and torn.
-----Scene 2-----
"Lin, hurry up!" Jasper called out.
"You're way too slow, we've only got 23 points." Lin carried an old man on his back, "Help me!"
A student came running towards Lin, grabbing the old man off of Lin's back, "See ya later sucker!"
"Give back the old man!" Adora jumped infront of the student, punching him, "God he was so pretty, too bad I had to punch his face." Adora picked up the old man, "I'll save this one!"
"Great team work." Leo stood atop a building, staring down at the team.
"I'll fend them off!" Anais started to attacking the wave of goblins, "Let there be embers!" A large burst of fire exploded from Anais' hand, blowing the wave of goblins away.
"That's 24! We've got 2 hours left to get 26 points to guarantee a pass into the next round, me and Anais will fend off the goblins!" Adora shouted out to Jasper and Lin.
Lin ran into the collapsed building and started going up the stairs, looking for people.
"Help!" A woman's voice called out from underneath Lin
"Wait, I'll come save you!" Lin imbued his fist with magic and punched the floor and it started to collapse.
"Minus points for nearing killing me with debris." The woman's voice switched immediately.
"Sorry, this was just faster." Lin pulled the lady out of the debris and placed her on her back, running down the stairs.
"Help! I've got number 25!" Lin ran out, Jasper running after him.
"Pass her to me! I'll bring her to the safe zone!" Jasper grabbed the woman, carrying her.
"My... you're pretty good looking." The woman flirted with Jasper.
"I'm still 17." Jasper kept running, not making eye contact.
"Help over here! There's 2 ogres!" Adora grabbed a stick from the ground. She clasped onto the ogre's arm, "Let there be nature!" The rocks rose up from the ground. Piercing the ogre's arm with shards of rock. Adora climbed onto the ogre's shoulder. She grabbed the stick and jammed it into the ogre's eye, "Now you're a cyclops! Let there be gale!" Adora jumped off the ogre's back. Her hand sending a strong current of wind from below her feet. She landed on the other ogre's head, "You're really ugly." Adora imbued her fist with magic and punched the ogre's head. "Let there be aqua!" A large wave of water appeared from her hand. The water crashed onto the ogre and the goblins below it.
"Number 27!" Lin came out of the same building with a man on his back.
"We're doing pretty good huh?" Anais was still fending off the goblins, "It'll be harder when the 4th wave comes, we've got 2 minutes."
"The other squads are approaching us! Everyone get ready! Lin you continue searching for survivors!" Jasper called out. The students from the other squad were all wearing hoods. Jasper hid behind a building, "Let there be smog." Jasper whispered underneath his breath. Smog started to appear from Jasper's hand. The 5 students from the other squad were covered in fog. "Take this!" Jasper ran towards one of the students. Kicking him in the back.
"Behind you!" Adora punched one of the students from the back. Pulling the hood back and punch him in the face again, "Ew, definitely don't regret punching you."
"I'll take care of the rest of the three!" Anais voice echoed through the fog, "Let there be embers!" A large burst of flames erupted and split the fog in half. The three students lying emotionlessly on the ground. Their hoods burnt to a crisp, "This must be squad 4."
"Well doesn't matter who they are. Just bring them to the safe zone and we'll get 5 points, what's that? 30 points now?" Adora started clapping, "Well done team."
Lin was still inside the building, carrying to kids on his shoulders. "Don't worry, you're safe." Lin thought to himself, "I wonder if Nana is safe."
"Why hello there Lin." A familiar voice called out from behind Lin, "Nana and Leo were pretty tough huh."
Lin turned around and saw Mika, her back leaning against the dilapidated walls.
"Playing the hero are we?" Mika toyed with an orb of revelation.
