Gao sat on a wooden chair, which was so fragile that he had to partially sit on air as to not break it. His father was sitting opposite of him, his situation different.
"Gao, you're a monster" His father said with his eyes closed and arms crossed on his chest.
"I know that father" Gao replied, he knew he wasn't just a monster. He was 99.999 percent sure he was the best talent in the world. And the reason it wasn't 100 percent was because you never surely know something.
A situation can change in a second, a house can be destroyed in a second, a man can be killed in a blink. Being sure of something is merely a lie.
"That's why, at only age four, I will enroll you into the Thousand Deities School" The father finally opened his eyes, he was filled with excitement but decided not to show it.
"Isn't that the top school in the world? how can you afford it father? Plus, you said at age four, I'm only three" Gao was confused about several factors, his father was only a poor villager, he couldn't have enough money to send him to a school even the top people have trouble getting into.
"First of all, it is the top school. Second of all, I can't afford it, you will join through a skill scholarship. And finally, third of all, I said at age four because your skill level is low to join it right it, but I believe in a year you should be able to"
The father was sure of his son's talent, he knew with this generation, the family would achieve a much, much higher ranking in the world.
"Wait wait wait, I don't have enough skill to join it? Dad, do you even know what level of power I have? I have a body at an iron level of hardness, my agility is enough to run 20 Miles in 10 minutes, my flexibility allows me to even dislocate my joints, and my strength can take out an entire tree with only a punch.
No one in this village can oppose me, heck, I dare you to find someone in a 10 mile radius that can challenge me without losing their lives. What more do I need?" Gao was flabbergasted, he knew he had immense power.
"Son, do you know why it's called the Thousand Deities School?"
"...no, Why"
"Because people join it at age 16, and only top talents can do so. The normal students there can defeat the current you with only losing their arm, and the instructors can do so within a flash.
Even if you have achieved a master level of external energy, you need to learn internal energy, and we all know your speed is deteriorating. By age five you would need to train more to achieve less"
Gao's father wasn't wrong, Gao's monster speed at training would be lessened by a ton by age five.
"Fine, but how can I train internal energy?" Gao's mind was devoid of confusion and now only held curiosity.
"Haha! That's more like it! While I don't have any cultivation techniques for you, you should create your own. Don't cut me off, let me explain.
Internal energy is another name for Qi, as you know. Every person is born with Qi, even a baby has enough Qi to destroy a tree, it just comes down to how you channel and direct it. Cultivation techniques help with that, but at the cost of deteriorating Qi bit by bit.
Pure Qi is twice as powerful as Cultivation Qi, and you still have it. Instead of using a pompous cultivation technique, just straight up spread Qi throughout your body, and channel it at any time. Instead of having a technique making it easier, do the hard method and achieve better internal energy" His father was a true believer that harder is better, even if there was a method that brought good results with easy training, he would choose the one that brought good results with hard training.
Even if harder training brought the same results, it always brought better results one way or another.
"Alright Alright, now how do I do that?"

Gao's training for Thousand Dietes School was extremely tiring, and hard. If a normal person did it they would die by the first day.
His plan was divided into two parts, one for external energy and one for internal energy.
On the first day, he must carry a 260KG boulder on his back and walk from the top to the bottom of the mountain, then rest for a few seconds then do it again two more times. Followed by a set of a thousand repetitions of normal pushups, narrow pushups, decline pushups and finally narrow pushups again with a tree on his back, he repeated the pushups every hour.
For the last exercise, he must push himself against a mountain until he can't anymore.
For Internal Energy, he must open up his pathways bit by bit and slowly spread Qi throughout his entire body.

The first day of training was slowly starting to begin, and Gao strapped the boulder to his back. Immediately the force of 260KG hit him, but he didn't back down. The only thing that would make him stop his training was his fainting.
He took a step, then another, then another before the force became too much for him, he unstrapped the boulder and breathed heavily.
'This is hard, but hard means it's working. I do have two rest days anyway, and my body recuperates incredibly fast. Shouldn't I take advantage of that then?' Gao smirked a wide smirk that went from ear to ear. His legs were aching so badly it was enough to make him faint if it was his past self, but in this new world, he way a new man.
After a few minutes, he strapped the boulder on his back, and put a piece of cloth in his mouth.
'I need to complete this, it's only the first one. Rising to a higher rank in the world is what I must do, mere 260kg are nothing' To make it easier to withstand the pain, he would bite the cloth every time he wanted to stop or scream.
But 260kg is not few.
The boulder cut the straps and fell into the ground, then somehow rolled back to Gao who was only realizing it now. He immediately turned around and held the boulder with both hands. Every single muscle in his arms got activated, and they looked like they were going to burst, however Gao set the boulder in the ground and grabbed extra straps from his pockets, then strapped the boulder back.
'This isn't going to be easy, sigh'
