Ever since Raymond and Evian got engaged, Evian was treated like she was invisible by Raymond, who wouldn't stop ignoring her.
Evian room was located at the extreme end of the last floor, making sure they never cross path.
Raymond stood by the balcony door, enjoying the feel of the zephyr as it swept over his face.
His eyes were lifeless and dark. It's seems he have been having a hard time sleeping and the loneliness couldn't also be ignored. The wine felt tastelss to him. Nothing felt right for him. The poor innocent wine in his hand met it dead end as it landed shattered on the floor. Could this be considered as regret?. Wasn't it too late for him to feel regretful. Yes he was so stupid. He felt stupid loosing Alicia. He was frustrated stucked in between, that regretful feeling of listening to your mother, having your birth mother threaten you with her life.
Raymond life hasn't been his control right from birth. His mother has always been the one making decisions for him without caring on how he feels about it. He loves his mother as much as he loves Alicia, and he has always been a dutiful son to his mother but...
Come to think of it, could it be his mother accepted he and Alicia relationship at first just because she was in the Jones family?. And now that Alicia is gone, the disgust his mother has for her couldn't be hidden anymore.
Raymond felt himself going crazy, thinking about their childhood memories, how they grew up together and how he has been loving her right from their childhood.
He could remember how they accidentally got their first kiss while playing, how cute she was, acting shyly while she wanted to hide her blushing face. Thinking about how much she loves wrestling and car racing even though she had been scolded several times by her parents not to get involved in such dangerous activities.
The beautiful angel walking down the beautiful garden, the dim light leading her towards him and the 'WILL YOU MARRY ME' written boldly on the billboard.
That surprised smile plastered on her face few months he proposed to her.
The hot tears rolling down her cheek when he called the engagement off, he wanted to wipe away the tears but he couldn't, he wanted to tell her how much he loves her but he still couldn't. He couldnt stand seeing her heavily drenched by rain, he really wanted to pull her in for a hug and warm her in his embrace but now all of these were gone. He regretted avoiding her, leaving her soaked under the cold rainy night. He wanted to really say the words "its just a prank" to her. He wished all of these were just a night mare and he hasn't gotten engaged to her younger sister instead. But all of these were the bitter truth, and now he can't still do anything.
Raymond pulled his golden hair in frustration thinking about all of that.
Everything surrounding him kept reminding him of Alicia. The balcony was where they enjoy most of their free time, enjoying the gentle breeze and the tranquil moment. The sitting room which held most of their childhood memories. The garden where he had proposed to her or the kitchen that kept reminding him of how much he spoiled Alicia with lots of foods.
He felt disenchanted not being able to reach out to her. He kept calling out her name hoping the cold breeze could help in reaching out to her. He couldn't handle the frustration burning within him as he diverted them to the tables and chair, flipping them in anger. He kept punching the wall in anger till his hands were pouring out blood. He just wished he could call out to Alicia. He wished he could have her back.
Raymond loved his mother so much, and he has done every thing willingly just to make her happy. He couldn't stand the sight of his mother using her own life in threatening him, he wasn't ready to loose his mother.
Raymond sat down helplessly on the cold floor, his eyes were already colored red, not minding the blood oozing out of his hands. He felt really messed up. His life felt messed up.
By the other side of the balcony, a lady not other than Evain stood there in silence observing Raymond. The pain was evident in his eyes.
Evain kept wondering what wrong she did. She was also a pretty lady, more prettier than Alicia. 'But why can't he just see me?. Why do I feel invisible to him?. Why must it be only Alicia and not me. Can't he really see me?. Open your eyes young man, I am right here'. Evain might have been able to gain, No I mean snatch Raymond from Alicia, but the love he has for Alicia couldn't be snatched away. She couldn't even gain his likeness, not to talk of love.
'Was he really blind not to see Evain here?'.
They were engaged already and he wouldn't just stop focusing on Alicia. What more does Evian have to do to gain his love?.
Ordinary the thought made her fist clenched in anger. Maybe it wasn't anger after all, maybe it was all jealousy.
Evain was also a pretty lady with beautiful face, but Why does he have to keep ignoring her?.
Seeing the poor thing asleep on the floor, she walked up to him carefully tending to his injured hand, afraid he might wake.
"Why do I feel like I am invisible to you?" She asked the sleepy Raymond sadly. She felt hurt staring at his closed eyes and his long eyes lashes that kept flickering. He wasn't having a good sleep either.
"Alicia.....Alicia.....Alicia" he subconsciously called on to her in his sleep while holding onto Evian hand not wanting to let go.
She didn't know what to feel, she felt angry and hatred within her. Alicia again?. Evian knew within herself too, she felt happy, after what felt like forever he finally held her hands.
She couldn't ignore his pink thin lips that kept inviting her. Evian found herself leaning closer to him.
'They were engaged after all, a kiss wouldn't hurt'.
She wanted to make her claim to those seductive lips but just as her lips were about to meet with his, she felt a strong force pushing her away from him.
Tears kept flowing freely from Evians cheek, she bit her lips trying not to make any sound. Her back had hit a very sharp edge of the wall.
"And what do you think you are doing?" He pronounced every single words venomously
"I was just trying to wake you up" her voice were hoarse, trying hard to hold in her pain.
Does he really have to treat me this coldly?.
If not because of Alicia that evil witch, he must have enchanted by her.
