Give a Bear an Inferiority Complex

It had been around three months since the peculiar incident involving a God, a Vampire and a dragon. After being inducted into the royal knights, they soon discovered that he couldn't fight,

And thus began his first training, and first use of the sword. The training grounds were huge and spread across the sun so that every inch of the dusted floor was encased in the brutal noon sun, its painful glare scorching the sun and burning the floor underneath. In the loosely drawn circle stood two people, the first was Mahon, his long hair drifting slightly over his eyes. The second was another recruit, the man before him was huge, muscles bursting out of the strong leather armbands that wrapped around his body. Both stood opposite each other, the hulking man blocking the sun, making Mahon seem like a bug under a boot.

The large man was called Igigi, he was a simple man who enjoyed nothing but eating his own weight (which was a considerable amount) in boar. The two men were friends, and even through the scarred and colossal exterior, the man was very kind. However, each of the trainees had seen it, the second he stepped into the ring his log-like arms cut with the strength of an earthquake.

Inside the ring, whilst any other would be pleading for forgiveness, or trying to figure out how to win, Mahon was as calm as possible when faced with a man who would give bears inferiority complexes. His arms shifted across the wooden handle and the long sleeves dangling below his wrists chopped off at the torso by a light leather vest, Which would maybe protect his chest from being turned into sludge.

Then the anticipated moment came, there was a low shout and as expected Igigi's sword sliced down, but Mahon jumped back throwing his small sword at Igigi's face. Instantly the man brought his sword up to block, and with that Mahon ran forward, sliding through his legs. As soon as he was far enough, his heels piled into the sand, launching him into the air and allowing him to twist his body around, latching onto Igigi's back. Then Mahon's hands wrapped around the huge neck, barely stretching into a hold. A smile rippled across Mahon's face as he shone with victory.

Until the man reached around, pulling him off and throwing him back on the ground. Mahon, helpless, grasped at the sand looking for any escape kicking up dust as he tried to escape, but the sword came crashing down, the strong wooden blade flashing against the sun.

Mahon's eyes recoiled, shutting, so tightly wrinkles formed across his brow. But all he felt was a small tap. The wooden blade was gingerly placed on his chest.

There was no explosion of strength, no Mahon coloured stain on the sand. Only a smiling man staring down at Mahon.

"The winner is Igigi!!"

Against the smouldering sun there was a gentle black silhouette, his massive body extending an arm, his teeth flashing a smile.

"Let's go eat!"
