Punched God

Tears poured from his eyes, the bitter water crawling and dropping through his face. His eyes stinging as he stared into the sky… the pain resonating through his chest like a pounding smashing fist crashing across his lungs and heart.

His fist smashing into the ground, blood pouring from his body.

"WHY!? Why me? Why am I here? Why do I have to suffer this, I'm sorry… I'm so sorry my dear Cel, I was late, I was… I wasn't here, my love, my life…"

The ground behind him stirred, a hushed footstep sounding through the hollow mountaintop, Mahon whipped his head around, his eyes staring daggers at the white robe behind him, even in the quiet dusk, the fading sun almost disappearing under the waters, the light towering from the subtle form, as his body moved gently across the ground.

"My son…"

Mahon lurched forward, clutching at the robes, his hands curling around the perfect cloth,

"It is ok my son… death is a natural tragedy, I am here…"

"YOU F&$KING B@?!£!D!"

"Wha…"

"YOU! YOU PUT ME HERE, YOU… you made me like this, you made me suffer losing her, without you, I would… I would've died with my king!"

"It would seem you have not grown accustomed to loss yet, however this is not the time to misdirect your anger, you have forgotten I see. A shame."

"MISDIRECTED?!?!?! Who then, who made me like this, who made me live through being f%£king burnt alive, and blown into the sea? Who, if not you?!"

"You're right, your current state is my fault. However the one who is directly responsible for your immortality is not on the plane, he is in another… and the world will soon come to an end, well in the next 200 Olympiads."

"Those things, the things that killed my king? I killed them."

"True, however that was thousands of years ago and Belamere will be back, I believe here they call it the gate of the titans, but my boy you have not accomplished your mission, thousands of monsters have come through cracks in the world luckily it seems magic whilst limited has also seeped out, and humans have largely been able to deal with it,"

"My mission?"

"You must kill Belamere,"

"No, F*&k you! You chose now, now, to tell me this? I don't care who you are, I'm sick of people telling me to blindly kill."

Mahon walked away, his body slumping back by the pile of dirt, the toughened grave lying at his feet.

"She'll be there, when you've finished your mission, everyone is…"

Mahon stood up his legs tensing and springing up, his fist clenched, pushing him up and slamming through his jaw, God staggered back, a look of surprise splattered over his face,

"Don't you f%$king dare!"

Mahon's eyes glowed a fierce gold, the light pouring from them and rising up like his eyes were burning, his damp brown hair twisting over his eyes.

"My treasured son, you are angry, however just because my love for you is deep, DO NOT THINK THAT I CANNOT HARBOUR ANGER."

The ground started to shake, the clouds rumbling in the night sky flashes of lightning splashing across the midnight blackness, God's long white hair drifting into the sky as his eyes glared a harsh white.

But slowly the clouds rolled back, his hair lowing and his eyes returning to their normal blue,

"My son, how much you've changed… Please look over this world, if not for me, for these… humans, the animals that roam and the creatures that inhabit this world, I am aware how you feel for I have suffered loss, but this world will suffer more if you do not help them, and you are the only one who can. My dearest Seraphiel."

God turned his feet treading into the ground, with each step his body fading, and eventually he was gone, Mahon turned back to the grave, his heart heavy and his mind plagued with confusion. But before him, on the edge of the cliff, standing like a strong pillar against the rising moon. The dragon's teeth, glowing and shimmering… the deep black on the handle, shining the moon and stars like the night sky itself wrapped in a gem.

He moved over to the sword, his hand wrapping around the handle and pulling the beautiful blade from the earth.
