Chapter 16
Before the driver pulled up into the old Agrestes villa, Rose was curled up in Daniel's body.
She rested her whole body on him and she loved it. It was something she never experienced before.
As soon as the driver pulled to a stop, Daniel opened the door and helped themselves out. He immediately carried her up, he didn't want to stress her one more bit.
Rose laid comfortably in his arms as he walked up the stairs to the living room.
He gently sat her on a chair and went to fetch his grandmother.
Rose sat awkwardly as he waits for Daniel and whoever owns the place they came to.
She was having a hard time relaxing as she's been holding the urge to pee, she didn't know how to tell Daniel.
But she's finding it difficult to hide it.
She needs to empty her bladder as soon as humanly possible.
She doesn't know her way around and even if she does, she's not one to casually walk around someone's property.
'If I break it, I can't fix it's as she always says.
Soon Daniel emerged from a room behind her with a woman who Rose recognized as his grandmother.
She tried to get up from the seat to greet the old woman but couldn't. It was as if her body melted into the couch. It was too comfy and she was too heavy to easily get up.
When Daniel saw her struggling to get up, he rushed to her in fear.
He thought something was wrong with her but his grandma simply told him that's its pretty normal for a pregnant woman to loose her weight and stand many times throughout pregnancy.
He was actually surprised, he didn't know what to say.
He felt pity for little Rose.
He wondered how she was able to manage this whole time he wasn't with her.
He tried to help her get up but his grandma stopped him.
"Let her be, can't you see she's pressed?" She asked
Daniel starred at the two women before him. He couldn't make out anything they were saying. It was as if they were speaking a different language.
Slowly his grandmother took Rose into the bathroom nearby and hours later, they came back.
"Is everything alright?" He asked as soon they stepped back into the room.
"No, everything is not alright. How could you possible not know that she needed to empty her bladder? You dragged her all the way from Everest's little home and couldn't stop to help her?"
His grandmother paused as she helped Rose seat .
"Do you know how many times a pregnant woman pees in a day? Do you!" His grandma yelled.
Daniel was surprised as his grandmother as never as much as yell at him since he was seven.
What happened he thought.
"You know you could have killed my babies before their birth?" She said as he hit him with her cane.
He stood firm but with an apologetic face.
He didn't know she was pressed and did she say babies? They?
"What do you mean by babies? I thought she's only pregnant?" He questioned.
His grandmother sighed .
Her grandson is everything but naive when it comes to running a home or taking care of his pregnant woman.
She was really glad he brought Rose to her, who knows what could have happened.
"How many pregnancies does it take to make a woman pregnant? How many pregnancies does it take to make triplets? One Daniel just one" grandma said as she walked up stairs.
"I need to get something "
She concluded as Rose simply dipped her hands into her breast pad and fetched out something she placed into his hands.
It was a hospital result with photos attached to it.
He read the hospital name, patient's data and fix the test results. It says she was having triplets.
He scanned through the document again and looked at Rose who was sitting in fear.
She didn't know what he was thinking and fears what he might do next.
What if he doesn't want them?
What if he denies the responsibility?
What it he abandons her again?
What will she do?
She came back to reality when she heard the front door opened and saw Daniel leave.
It shattered her world.
He just proved her right.
He never wanted the baby and she's carrying three?
She didn't know what else to think .
She was still waiting for him when his mother came in and she wasn't alone.
Suddenly she remembers that Angela who came with his mother was also pregnant and her heart melted in shame.
Angela had announced her pregnancy sometime ago.
She went numb in shame.
How could she had forgotten that he is married ?
How could she had forgotten that Daniel is also expecting a child with his wife?
She's just nothing but a home wrecker.
At that moment, she wished Daniel never took her out of Everest's house. It wasn't the best but she got a room all to herself.
She stood up quietly as the two women approaches her.
She saw fury in Angela's eyes and surprise in Daniel's moms.
"Good afternoon ma'am, good afternoon Angela" she bowed gently as she greeted them
"Why are you here?" Angela asked the moment she stepped close to Rose.
Rose definitely has no answers to the question. She possibly won't say that Daniel personally drove her here, no one would believe her.
"I came to see Mr. Agreste" she replied bowing in shame.
She felt worse than the day Angela returned. She was taken out of the family villa through the back door and never stepped foot into the villa until the feast.
She knows she's a complete unwanted third party.
"How could you possibly know that Daniel will be here, he just flew into the country"
Rose learnt the truth of Daniel coming into the country and coming straight to see her and she willingly let him have his way with done?
Did he left when he found out his wife and mother were coming? She wondered
'What have I done'?
'What did I get myself into?
She questioned her conscience bitterly.
Before she could pitch together what was happened she found herself being dragged out the villa.
She was held tightly by a pair of strong arms belonging to someone she believes is a security.
She didn't even notice when he came up.
She bowed her head in shame as other staffs was the huge guy push her around like a thief.
She buried her face in her hair. The last thing she needed was any internet drama but Angela caught on quickly.
She swore to make her face the current and only face on every news Chanel.
By the time the security guard dragged Rose outside, the paparazzi and news anchors were already there buzzing around with their cameras.
Rose little skin crawled into her bones, she wished she could just disappear from the entire world but that's just another wish.
The security left Rose right outside the gates and when she tried to run back inside she was heavily pushed down by Mr Agrestes mom.
She writhed in pain, panting and still trying to hide her face from the prying eyes of the internet.
Angela dragged her up by the hair and when she stood up, she was already drenched in blood.
Her light blue colored dress was dripping with blood but no one cares, she was in pains too.
Angela forcefully dragged her by her hair and rough fully but skillfully cut off her hair.
She sobbed the loudest as she faced the worst and most horrible shame she's never felt her whole life.
She felt shame, bitterness and fear all together and right there she wised she never came to the villa.
She wished Everest was here, at least she know he would protect her.
It's time she dance to the tune of her crime.
People were pushing her, throwing things at her , showing her violently.
They wanted to know who her baby father is and she dare not mention Daniel.
They wanted to know how she knew that Daniel was coming into the country today.
They all wanted to know so much about things she knows nothing about.
In the mist of all the pushing and shoving, she heard some people say the cameras were live and lost her balance.
She collided into Angela and she fell on her side.
"Angela? Babe"? She heard Daniel's voice rushing towards Angela.
'Could this day get any worser'? she lamented bitterly.
Thankfully Daniel's securities were able to end the whole drama.
The ambulance took Angela and Daniel climbed in with her and Rose stood alone.
She stood in a pool of her blood and no kne cared.
The last people leaving took the heartbreaking photo of a pregnant woman covered in blood standing on her own blood with her hair flying all over the place.
