Chapter 56: Skin and Bones

They had finally been settled in. The parking lot where the trucks had been parked had been bustling with sounds but they barely considered of people talking among themselves. The rattling of machinery, the buzzing of drones and the rolling of drums had all been dominant in the big parking lot. The people barley dared to speak a word as they monotonously did their work.

The surroundings all around had been so unsettling to watch that for a few seconds they all were just frozen in their places sympathetic to these mindless puppets of the lowest grade. They were not only exploited but they were also treated the worst of them all.

"They look like they haven't eaten for weeks," Yve said her green eyes flitting from one worker to the other. Here inside the building they had been wearing less amounts of robes than what they had seen them wear outside and their bones were visible through their thin skin.
