Chapter 98: Stuck

The first thought that came to Aksel when he slightly came to his senses the next morning was that it was very cold. They had been living in luxury for the past the past three days as much as they could and so the extremity of the natural conditions outside was now getting to them.

Even then there was something wrong, Aksel was unable to pinpoint yet in his groggy state but he was aware about it.

Trying to clear his vision to help him see better Aksel brought his hand up towards his face to rub the sleep away from his eyes when he found himself unable to do so. There was something stopping him from moving and the more effort he tried to put into it the more he seemed to be feeling a strange stinging sensation of pain coursing through his body.

Forcing his eyes to open on its own accord he fluttered them for a few minutes to help him face the brightness of the sun that was shimmering against the vast blanket of snow.
