Smoked meat

"Then it's him, hand it over," she said, urging him to hand it to her. The man was shocked and he couldn't fathom these people. Why would they recognize each other by spitting on things? It was just plain weird. He had been so focused on the conversation with the lady that he had forgotten about the man and the two customers before.

She took the note, pulled apart the diagonally folded paper, and glanced at the words for a moment before pulling out her pen, which resembled a calligraphy fountain pen. She tipped it in the spit and started writing with it on the same paper.

Once she finished and put down the last dot, she asked if he had a lighter or if there was a fireplace nearby with a live fire in it.

The attendant guided her and her brother to the private rooms of the store workers, which had a fireplace. She chucked the note inside and thanked the attendant, giving him a fat envelope.

Burning of the note held no other significance than to destroy all evidence that they were there, to begin with. The man and the women left after that.

A few minutes later the attendant returned to the main counter, a little confused as to why he was in the back room. He just remembered that he needed to put something in his locker.

Then he looked up from the counter and saw to his horror that there were two customers on the floor. He rushed over to find them unconscious. Upon closer inspection he found them to look rather flushed and red in the face. He was just thinking that he had seen the look somewhere before when he realized where. His wife had had this kind of reaction when he had brought her to the climax. He was just speechless, what to do now? There is no point in calling an ambulance. After all, they looked fine albeit a little flushed but that wasn't life-threatening at all.

After some trouble, the two gradually woke up. They were confused, even more than the attendant, and as they checked themselves felt deeply embarrassed and shocked. They felt that they had had the most earth-shattering orgasm in their life but they just couldn't for the life of it, remember anything about it. Just when they thought to panic that someone had drugged and abused them, they felt at ease, that no one had touched them inappropriately.

That is if you can count Kaydens' actions appropriate, as he never actually touched them. If he doesn't control the pitch of his voice, that is the result. Someone who directly looks at his eyes falls into his trap. Well, it's not real, but the victims will never know what was happening to them. To even break the control is difficult unless he gives it up himself. That was his power after all and he called it pleasure, ultimate satisfaction. Of course, he was very prideful about that.

The people in the store would remember if the Lady hadn't used her power.

Hers was the memory. She could alter every memory she wanted. She could even erase the existence of a famous person. If she so chose, the person would be considered insane soon after, or she could erase and create a new person inside themselves. Her power was rather potent and she hadn't touched it properly yet, because many people were afraid of the power.

Kayden and Kaytlin didn't bother looking for their brother. They knew he was already long gone. They knew their brother pretty well. If he wanted to be found he'd stay put.

Liam wasn't far, just on a bus leaving the valley. It was the first time in two years that he charged his phone to look at the messages. There were tonnes, but he just brushed passed them to check on some interesting things that happened in the past years.

The journey took him over four days to complete. It wasn't boring, he found some interesting new flavors, colorful sights that he hadn't seen yet, and some marvelous construction. Well, he was mostly interested in things he hadn't seen, tasted, or experienced. In his heart he was an adventurer, it was saddening to him that earth didn't give him much to explore.

He might just be seventeen but he hasn't ever been tied down by school or any other mundane thing. He liked experiences, especially his first experiences, he didn't like repeating the things he had already done perfectly, but he did like the journey he got from getting to perfection.

It was always riddled with failure and he wasn't ever dishearted by it. It had always made his eyes shine with excitement. He took everything and made it into something usable.

He was standing beside a taxi he had just exited. The car was already leaving him behind. He gazed at the small town in front of him. A fishing town, a small river was coursing through it. It didn't have high buildings, the highest was just three or four stories.

He walked at a leisurely pace to the river where he found the docks. He looked around and went to sit near an old man. Took out some snacks and started eating them, silently staring at the river and all the busy people working on unloading their respective boats. He uncapped the water bottle to take a sip when the old man interrupted him.

"Hey, can I have a bite?" a raspy voice of the old man sounded.

"Sure, that's why I sat here," the boy replied with a smile.

The man was taken aback but didn't think much of it.

"Here you go," the boy brought out another bag of food and gave it to the man. The old man opened it and was taken aback by what was in there.

It was smoked meat. The moment he opened the bag, the smell hit him in the face and made him drool. After all, they were in a fishing town, most people could eat only fish meat. Everything else was a delicacy. The man looked at the boy then.

"Are you sure you want to give me this," he asked not sure what the boy was doing, giving him such precious food.

"It's fine. I was looking for someone to give this to anyway," he sighed lightly, "at least it won't be wasted on some rich snobs who might never appreciate it," then he casually pulled out a few more of those packets and gave them to him. "I need to empty this bad anyway and I was hoping you'd help," he then again smiled gently at the old man. "You may do with them as you like, I don't mind, I just wanted to give it to someone in need."
