... sound's a little too easy?

Starting the next day, Liam attempted to teach how Yong-Sun should gather energy. He thought that the boy would get it fast, bet it turned out he was overestimating the boy. After all, he had forgotten the undeniable fact that the boy was just seven years old. Or that was what he estimated his age to be.

His concentration lasted barely half an hour.

He also figured out what to do with the other two during that time. He had decided to start their training as well. He didn't care if they would leave later. It wouldn't be his problem.

First, he needed to start the core formatting for them. So, he made them build their bodies, making them run until they dropped. But, of course, this made all the boys think that Liam didn't want any of them to stay with him. The brothers already held enmity toward him, but they couldn't argue with someone older than them and who had such big 'friends,' according to his words.

After three hours of this, his own frustration had reached its peak.

He let the three of them stop. Liam took out yesterday's leftovers and gave them to the kids. The brothers couldn't even look at the thing, and Yong-Sun refused when the two others didn't eat. Even if they did eat, it wouldn't stay down.

Eventually, they recovered enough to take up a bowl and eat their share. Immediately after, they fell asleep. Liam had mixed some of the dried herbs in. The herbs also had some effect of relaxing the muscles and easing the pain in their bodies.

It wasn't much, so they woke about two hours later, feeling refreshed.

Liam spent the two hours meditating and thinking about what would suit Yong-Sun. How should he deal with his youthfulness? Finally, he went back in time in his own memories and looked up what he did at the time. How did Pollen teach him at that age?

The other two boys didn't look very happy about the running either, so he had to think up a solution for how they would train without the notion of actual training. He thought of games and how he should apply them to the kids.

It was confusing to him to figure out two different kinds of strategies, but he laned on something that would suit both.

He gave up on teaching the energy gathering to Yong-Sun. It was too early for that anyway, and he just decided to play the games with them that he had played when he was younger.

He had to improvise. The games he played were environmentally safe. But here, that would be impossible… he had to stop those thoughts in their tracks. What if he used the danger as a factor as well? Would they grow faster in that kind of situation?

It was an intriguing thought, and he wanted to try it, but he was hesitating. Thus, he stopped meditating and got up. But unfortunately, the kids were already awake, which only shook him more. It had taken him too long to reach this kind of conclusion.

"I'll be back in a couple of hours. Make yourselves useful," he said, making his way into the forest.

"Sir, but what should we do?"

"Whatever you like, just don't wander off too far," he said off-handedly and rushed toward the forest. He wanted to talk with Pollen, which was the only way he could figure out how to deal with the kids. After all, even the giants were terrified of the Avatars. So what would the kids do?

"Pollen!" He called out after an hour of running. He had stopped and taken a seat.

"Yes!"

Pollen came out after a moment, answering him. He knew that he had a choice, but he didn't use it on purpose. Instead, he wanted to help him as he had also discovered that one of the boys was special. He wasn't sure if the thing Liam had spoken about yesterday would work on the other two, but he also wanted to know if it was possible. He had seen a few different approaches and tries, but none seemed consistent.

"Can you think of games I could play with the kids? Games that would allow them to develop their bodies a bit better. Wait? Did the last one has a core at birth, or did she develop it?"

"She had one at birth."

"So that kind of genius failed," he concluded, disappointed in the last one. "What games do you think I can play with them? I only come up with hide-and-seek, blind-mans-bluff, and red hands."

Pollen scoffed at that.

"That is enough. These fit perfectly. If you want more, mix them up or make variations. There is no need to complicate things," he added after a moment looking at the kids who were far away but always close to him. "They are already playing Fugitive right now, it's a good game, and they seemed to be relaxing around the creatures. Getting more familiar with them."

"I was going to suggest something to you later, but this is an as good time as any. Why don't you bestow the kids the ability to talk to de-beasts?" He nearly slipped.

He looked at Liam at that moment, but it looked like he had caught the almost slip up.

His expression showed surprise.

"That… I can do that?" Pollen sighed internally. Thankfully Liam had focused on the important thing.

"Oh, you didn't know! It's like the words you sent inside the kids before. You just need to convey what you want to give them in one symbol and imbue it with your essence and internal energy."

"That… sound's a little too easy? Well, can they speak to you guys as well?"

"No, imbue it so they could only talk with a certain creature like Nio or Biff."

"There aren't many of those. So what use would it be?"

"You'd be surprised once you figure that one out!" He said and disappeared right after it.

Liam sensed that he had left. He didn't move and closed his eyes. Concentrating on the breathing that he had learned before.

Not long after, he sensed a few beasts near him. He could tell that these creatures he hadn't encountered before.

He got up and slowly approached them.

They seemed to be herbivores. After some observation, he searched for other targets for his hunt. These just seemed too docile for his taste. He wanted to fight. He wanted to move his body and make it reach his new limits. It seemed like humans won't be able to push him any longer.
