Chapter 13- Caring doesn't mean attention must exist.

William's Mansion...

Qian Jin was flipping through a pile of documents kept on the table. He was sitting on the floor while all sorts of files and books and magazines were on the couches of the living room. It was a complete mess. His Laptop was the only one that occupied space on the table other than the documents.

Qian Mu ran inside with a football in his little hands, he was followed by four men in blue navy suits. They were gasping and trying hard not to shout at the little master who had made them run all day. Qian Mu screamed, "Brother Jin!!!"

Qian Mu peeked at Jin who was covered with bundles of files and hiding his head behind the screen of his laptop. He threw himself at him and hugged him tightly.

"Ayiaa Mumu? what's wrong?"

"Didn't you go outside to play?"

"Not even half an hour passed."

"Why are you back?" He asked not realizing the tears that streamed down the little boy's cheek. Qian Jin heard his stomach growling and picked him up and said, "You are hungry?"

He asked giving a ferocious gaze at the four men who were supposed to look after the little master. He nodded and looked at him showing the discomfort he was feeling all these days. Jin noticed his wet cheeks, wiped the tears with his hands, and asked, "Why are you crying?"

"Did anyone trouble you?"

"I don't like it here." He cried.

"Oh no! Not again, you! little one! I am tired of your tantrums."

"Now are you going to create another scene?"

William spoke as he walked in with a girl in a white long coat, holding a black office bag. She had a slim body and fair cheeks, her blonde straight short hair and dark red lipstick, and high red heels matched well with the red top and skirt. She gave a pleasing smile to the cousins and waved her hand, "Hello!"

William was however feeling frustrated seeing the little brat pouting and giving an indication of a flood that was about to drown them all. Qian Jin rubbed his cousin's back and assured him that he was on his side and no one can bully him.

Qian Mu looked another side when he saw the woman and leaned his head against his big, reliable cousin pretending to fall asleep. Jin rubbed his hair and came out of the mess of files, "William, who is this woman?" He asked coldly without sparing a look at her.

"Oh! Hello, I am Emily, A child psychologist. I won the best doctor award this year from Royal Hospital."

"I might look young but I have a great experience with children of rich families."

"I once treated....." She started introducing herself but Jin gestured a stop sign at her. Emily stopped and felt embarrassed, thinking she spoke too much and that he must have felt she was bragging about her. She reached out to a file from her bag and opened it in front of Jin and started flipping the page to show him her CV.

However, Jin did not move his eyes to look at the wordy documents she was showing and blabbering about herself.

"I am asking you William who is this woman?" He spoke increasing his volume as he fixed his gaze on him. William who was in a serious mood replied, "She is a child psychologist."

No sooner did he say that than Jin asked, "Why is she here?"

"I am here to help the young master who is in your arm." A soft excited voice jumped in.

Qian Jin spoke as if he was about to hang her with a rope, "How can an unmannered woman like you treat my cousin?"

"Wait? what will you treat him for?" He asked. Emily froze right there, She didn't know what to say. William spoke in her defense, "I brought her to help this brat get right on the track."

Jin nodded sarcastically and picked up his coat and covered the little boy with his arm. He passed by the two people and marched towards the exit. "Hey! stop! Where are you going?"

"I guess you don't like me being here."

"I am going to a hotel. I guess."

William was annoyed and spoke out, "Dude, I am trying to help you here. Why can't you understand?"

"This little brat needs help from experts."

"You too man!!!"

Qian Jin turned and gave a chilling look at him, telling him with those eyes to stop. But William had enough of them, it just had been a few days when Qian Jin returned with his cousin. However, it felt like years. The Mansion felt gloomy all day and depressed with all the stress created by the little one.

He cried all the time and made it difficult for the servants, Female workers had to take days off because he did not like any woman in the house. He even threw a bowl of hot soup at one of them and cried instead saying he did not mean to.

He would create a mess everywhere by throwing stuff and toys everywhere, spilling milk and drawing on the wall, and then starts crying if someone tries to stop him. He would complain about servants saying they hit him when they don't even look at him.

"Your cousin is being delusional and you are becoming a super workaholic."

" So much that you don't even know that this brat has not eaten ever since he came here." This sentence struck him as he panicked and asked, "Mumu? is it true?"

The little boy pretending to wake up nodded and explained, "That's because I don't like the food."

"What do you like then?" He asked softly.

"Tofu Fried Rice!!!" He screamed as the excitement vanished misery from his heart.

"Oh!!! So you want that??"

"Do you want me to cook it for you?" Jin pinched his cold tiny nose.

Qian Mu nodded with a small smile holding his eagerness to eat the dish. Jin dropped him down and walked towards the kitchen but William blocked him, "Dude, You have never cooked."

"Don't burn my kitchen down again."

"Last time, you went there to take a glass of water but literally put it on fire."

Jin tried to take another route but was again blocked by William's longhand. "That was just an accident."

"I did not know that thing was a stove. I was half-asleep."

Emily squeezed laughter which attracted the attention of two friends who were ignoring her all that while. William was annoyed and asked, "Emily, You go back for now. I will call you later."

She nodded and left feeling the stiffness in the atmosphere. She had not expected the guardian of the child to act that way. "Some people are ignorant and arrogant," she whispered to herself while leaving the house with her head looking around at the huge mansion. Her mouth watered with the thought of the amount of money she will be getting.

William then turned to Jin and held him back from escaping, "What now? Jin asked annoyed.

"You are not getting the point."

"This brat needs mental treatment and you too." He said.

"Ever since your grandfather left the world. You have been becoming more and more emotional and crazy. You work all day and act as if you care about this little bomb who has been creating ruckus in my house."

"Look at my living room."

"I can't even receive a guest."

"You sit on the floor and keep those things on the couches. don't you think there is something wrong with your brain?" he pointed at the mess.

Jin was embarrassed and rubbed his neck, "That...My back was hurting and so was my neck."

"I just changed my position for a while."

"You know I have a lot of work to hand over." He explained.

"Hand who?" William asked astonished, "and why?"

"You...because I am going back to China."

"I won't be coming any time soon."

"So I am going to hand over everything to you now."

"Congratulations on being promoted to CEO from Managing director."

William could stand straight, he asked shaking the man before him like a sachet of shampoo.

"What nonsense?"

"Let me tell you If you leave I will take away your company and sabotage it."

"You...I will..." He lost himself in another world. He could not believe it, He had been trying to make him stop. "You will not stop?" He asked giving a disappointed look at him.

"That rumor in China is true?" Jin nodded and said, "Not entirely, you know!"

William thumped his shoulder and walked away hiding his tears. He wanted him to stay the same as he was. A cold person only cares for profits and benefits. Not even glancing kindly at the people who wronged him and getting back at them in the shortest period.

He had been living all by himself after his parents divorced and then picked up by his grandfather who raised him like a spoiled brat. The world knew him for his luxurious lifestyle as the heir of the Qian family in China and a spoiled inheritor of his grandfather in London.

However, He managed to keep this bad reputation of his while secretly building his company from a very young age of 17 with William who was a year older than him at that time. He borrowed his identity and made him the face of his company. It was when he graduated and took over his company official, slapping their faces with his action.

It had not been three years complete since he became the CEO, but he was determined to leave the company in William's hands again. The first excuse he made was ' I don't like being chained to a seat.'

Jin turned to the kitchen but saw a little head blocking him. Mumu had wrapped his leg with his little hand. "what are you doing? brother is going to cook for you."

Jin said looking down at the head which shook in disagreement.

"Don't cook if you can't."

"You will get hurt."

Jin squat down and said rubbing the hair of the little one, "But aren't you hungry?"

"I don't want it now."

"I want KFC." Jin laughed and said, "Okay, lemme order it then." He knew Mumu was being considerate and held his wrist and took him to his room.

"The living room is indeed a mess."

"Sit here. I will go tidy up." He said making Mumu sit down on the bed.

He returned to his temporary workplace and started cleaning up.

'William is not wrong. There is indeed something wrong with Mumu.'

'He doesn't play or laugh.'

'There is a child in this mansion but it has become more silent despite the chaos created by him.'

'The bad news is that I see myself in him.'

'Haven't I been working harder ever since my old man left me?'

'William is overthinking.'

'Now since there is a rumor in China. I guess it will be hard for me to go back now.'

'And there are some deals I need to sign myself. I guess I have to delay my arrival in China.'

'Poor Mumu, I will hire a Chinese chef for him.'

He pulled out his phone and made a call to William, "Hey! man! where are you?"

"I am seeing Emily off." He spoke in a low and depressed tone.

"Don't tell me the kitchen is on fire." He panicked from the other end.

"No! If you don't want it. then hire a Chinese Chef and make an appointment with me."

"I gotta go to clean up my grandfather's place." He spoke in a low voice.

"Woah??? You are going there?" William was elated and excited.

"What is there to be excited about?" He asked furiously with his reaction.

"Nothing!" He said trying to sound serious.

"OK!" saying that Jin hung up.
