IS IT OVER?

Amari had never seen this lady before but from the way Mia looked at the lady, she seemed to know her.

With a wave of the hand, Amari moved Abaddon away from Mia and pinned her onto the wall.

It was taking her all of her energy, literally all of her energy, to hold Abaddon pinned to the wall. Amari knew that it was only a matter of time before Abaddon got out of her grip.

Abaddon too knew this so she burst out laughing while looking at how Amari struggled to keep her pinned to the wall.

A mixture of fear, confusion, anxiety, relief and a variety other emotions danced in Mia's eyes as she looked at Amari.

"Mia, come behind me, okay?" Amari muttered.

Even though Mia was confused about how Amari suddenly had powers and was now pinning the crazy woman from the bookstore down at the local store, whom she had once had a funny encounter with, she still moved to stand behind Amari, no questions asked.
