Jake let out something that sounded like a grunt, and then said, "Just a lady whose car had broken down. She is new in town. I gave her a ride to her house and umm, she invited me in for a cup of tea."
Even though Jake was trying so hard not to let the smile that was threatening to spread across his face, spread across his face, he failed as the smile still lightly curved his lips and when his daughter's eyes lit up, he knew that she was going to taunt him to no end.
"I guess this lady is really beautiful?" Amari asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Actually, she is really beautiful," Jake admitted, the face of their subject of discussion popping up in his head. He shook his head at his daughter doubtfully as a teasing smile spread across her lips.
"So, did you ask this beautiful lady out?" Amari asked, crossing her arms against her chest.
