'This is not going to be easy to get rid of.' Zani said mentally to Xerxes, having taken flight and shot a ball of flame at what looked like a bunker of sorts. The fireball hit the opening and there were screams. Others ran for cover and then tried to fire at him. His darker form was hard to see.

'Just do it as fast as you can. We can't have them hitting us with heavy artillery or we're screwed.' Mainly if they hit them in the right spot, but either way it was a weapon that could damage them and the number of other inhumans.
