Distractions and Consequences

"Why would you choose now to do something like that? You know how close we are being monitored, and if they thought you weren't going to be able to focus…" Conner was mumbling under his breath to Nova, and she glanced at him.

"I wasn't thinking okay, it just sort of happened. I didn't even know he was here, I ran into him." Walking with him now, she couldn't tell you what she was thinking. She hadn't been, she'd just let her body do the talking. Nova wasn't going to lie, it was nice, but she also knew she shouldn't have done that. Conner was right, being caught wasn't an option, but that didn't mean she wasn't thinking about later. Because all she had was now, and then there was going to be nothing.
