Every Minute Counts

"I'm sorry." Rue said moving and feeling a thousand times better than he had a moment before. He did feel ashamed that he couldn't control himself for that moment. Not a good way to meet your mate. However their situation was dire. Rue rubbed the spot that she'd struck him with her tail, damn she hit him hard. He noted a bit of blood there, temper. Though guess he deserved it a little.

"It won't happen again, I swear." Rue stated calmly putting a hand to his chest. Parri was eyeing him, her gaze leery. Rue moved to get up and then reached. Parri snapped at him when he went to get a hold of Davina. He'd meant to lift her up off the floor. Parri clearly didn't want him to touch her. She was mad at his behavior. She wasn't sure if she should trust him, he was still starving. Parri could feel it. They were too and he didn't even ask! Parri spoke exactly what was on her mind.
