Don't Think About It

"Jesus," Baker said from his vantage point back in the house. He did not expect the swift and sudden attack that Vintas gave. He was just standing there, and the next thing that Baker knew the front door was exploding outward. Then the man was out the side window killing those out there on the porch. It was precise and tactical the way this man moved.

Baker very slowly came forward with the sound of gunshots and fighting. He kept himself unseen and pressed against the wall by the door to look out. It was hard to see once Vintas was out and into the woods, but judging by the flashes of blue he was moving fast and efficiently. Baker let out a slow breath. He could see a few moving toward the house slowly, clearly aiming to come into the place while Vintas was out there fighting.
