Temple in the Oasis

Tuya pulled up the glass-looking tubes from around the temple floor one by one. She inspected them all. The quartz that was there was still holding up just fine and conducting energy. However, the obsidian and malachite were dissolving quickly with the magic that was filtered through them and then into the quartz to help maintain their barriers. She needed more than one person could carry. She knew the stores were low again, and if she had to go out there on her own it was going to take several trips.

The temple here had the most crucial protective barrier component, which was the one keeping their oasis unfound and the deadly creatures that called this part of the desert home. It kept the death worms or what those here termed the olgoi. Just a shorter part of the longer name. Easier to say sometimes.
