<p>Carter was stunned. Stunned and frozen to the spot as her soft lips hit his. Even as he was just standing there doing nothing with the shock of her kissing him. He felt something internally just shatter into thousands of tiny pieces that were not going to be put back together. For a second it was just her and him. It was impossible to breathe, and he knew he should be doing something about this.  </p>

Carter never had a moment when he felt like his brain just shut down and went somewhere offline.
