CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Did they go for the class? Absolutely not.

David snatched her hand and pulled her away from her locker. He closed it shut. He looked at her and smiled that mischievous smile. Rayna began to get a feeling, but she could discern what exactly she was feeling, he'd pulled her and they ran down the hallway, out the school doors, out the school gates. Rayna was shocked at the suddenness of it all, but it didn’t stop her from joining in the laughter. No, she laughed at him, laughed with him. Just like that, they both ditched P.E. that afternoon.

“So, you had no where in particular for us to go, you just brought me with you on a whim?”, Rayna couldn’t believe David, as they walked the streets of the school neighbourhood.

“Well, to be fair, you needed the exercise, and the excitement”, he returned triumphantly.
