Cecily laughed to see how blatant her father said those words without blinking. She glanced at Viona, who grasped her hands together. She was torn between teasing his father more or comforting Viona. It was weird that Cecily could feel at ease with Viona as she had just met Viona today. Yet, she couldn't deny how powerful the calming aura Viona has. Even when Viona was worried and terrified, her presence could ooze pleasant and comfortable feeling to those around her.

"Father, I have things I need to do." Cecily stood, but then she walked past her couch and bent forward to whisper in her father's ear, "Don't frighten her." Then Cecily left the balcony.

Viona gripped her hands since she was alone with Dominick. She didn't know what her fate would be.
