Man Meets Billionaire

I was at Von Ruiz's club with Jack, Eddie, Bob and Wendy their assistant. I was downstairs watching the beautiful strippers do what they do best. Two guys were quarreling beside the club's central bar. The quarrel soon became hot and one of them picked up a bottle, broke it on the other's head and stabbed his leg with a broken piece. The duo began to fight and soon, the club's security came to separate them. The one that stabbed the other tried fighting the security guys, but he was overpowered immediately. "Why would anyone want to fight The Rock without experience" I said to myself mocking the guy who was overpowered. He was beaten and carried out of the club together with the other guy. "It's alright everybody. Everything has been taken care of so let's get back to having fun", the DJ said trying to call back everybody's attention from the fight. After a while a tall man probably Chinese walked into the club with a black briefcase, accompanied by two other men. I watched as they made their way upstairs to the VIP section of the club. They were probably headed to Von Ruiz's VIP room. "Might be one of Ruiz's clients", I thought. After a while, I received a call from Jack telling me to come to the VIP room. I emptied the liquor I had in my hand and dropped the glass cup at the bar. I walked inside the VIP room and Von Ruiz pointed towards me immediately I walked in. "There he is fellas. Henry's his name and he's my special apprentice", Von Ruiz said. "Henry, I want you to meet Mr. Zhang. He's a fucking billionaire from China but lives in the States". "Mr. Henry, your boss has told me a lot about you", Mr. Zhang said extending his right hand. We greeted each other with a handshake. "Please sir, call me Henry. I'm not a family man", I said, and everybody busted into laughter. "That's hilarious", Mr. Zhang said. "Once again Henry, I'm happy to meet you and your co-partners. I hope to work with you in the nearest future". I observed as Mr. Zhang and Von Ruiz talked about several things including business and latest drug deals. When the conversation ended, Mr. Zhang dropped the black briefcase on the table and opened it. He then turned it over to Von Ruiz to check its contents. I looked inside the briefcase and inside was thousands of euros. "This is your share from the last successful trade we made. I must say business is quite smooth these days. Cops are now minding their business", Mr. Zhang said. Von Ruiz starred at the money before him and smiled before taking a smoke from his pipe. "I must say…it has really been an honor working with you", Von Ruiz said greeting Mr. Zhang once again with a handshake. "In that case, I think it's time for me to take my leave", Mr. Zhang said. I watched as Mr. Zhang whispered something to one of his guards' ear. He secretly took out a card from his breast pocket and dropped squeezed it into my right hand as he walked out. Mr. Zhang finally left the VIP room with a final greeting. Von Ruiz took the briefcase and observed the money given to him. "This is what you get by working with real businessmen. Not some old man who wants to kill you because of a bad deal", Von Ruiz said. Von Ruiz closed the briefcase and gave it to Eddie. "Alright fellas, let's move out. As for you Henry, I'll let you know when I need you, okay". Von Ruiz said as he walked out of the VIP room and his boys followed. I went downstairs and saw Wendy talking with the club's manager. "Are you not supposed to go with Ruiz?", I asked Wendy. "I'm also the record keeper for this club. I'm here to take last month's profit and loss records", Wendy said writing down something from a big book. "Wow, I never knew that was part of your job", I said smiling. "Has there been any increase in quantity of customers?", Wendy asked. "Two months ago, I counted over a thousand customers here of which more than half were regular", the manager said. "And for last month, we only had 968 people here". "That's business for you. We'll get back our numbers in no time", Wendy said. Wendy finally ended whatever remaining business she had with the manager and turned to leave. "Are you not leaving?", Wendy asked me. "Of course, I am. I was just waiting for you", I replied her. "Okay, let's go then"Wendy walked out quietly while I followed her. We got to a red car and she opened the door to the passenger seat for me. I starred at her and the red Ferrari and asked, "Is this your car?". "Are you surprised?", Wendy asked in return. "I swear I don't know. I would love to own this one day", I said and entered the car. Wendy shut the door and walked over to the driver's seat. "So, where do you live?", Wendy asked. "Not too far from here. It's about 20 minutes to my house. Don't worry, I'll show you once we get there", I replied. Wendy drove silently for a while but soon broke it. "So, tell me about yourself", She asked. "There's really not much about me to talk about except I was born and raised in this city", I started. "Where are your parents?", Wendy asked. I sighed before answering her question. "My mum died of cancer about 15 years ago and my dad died during a military operation in France. That was about 8 years ago", I replied. "I'm so sorry to hear that", Wendy replied. "So, your dad was a soldier""Yes, a captain at the US Army. He was one of the best""Well, my parents are divorced. My mum remarried last year and she's living with her husband in Australia while my dad is minding his business in Chicago", Wendy said. "And my sister's in UK. She's a fashion model over there". "Don't you have siblings?", Wendy asked. "I did but he's dead", I said feeling teary. "He was killed by the drug cartel he worked for. I heard claims that my elder bro betrayed them. I never got to see or know those cartels, but I know for sure that one day, I'll find them, and I'll deal with them". Wendy finally stopped me at my apartment building. I stepped out of her car and walked to the main door. "See you later Henry. It was great talking to you. Good night", Wendy said and drove off. I walked into my apartment, shut the door and switched on the lights. I took off my shirt, brought out my hand gun and kept it on the table. I dipped my right hand in my back pocket and brought out the card Mr. Zhang gave me. I read the first thing I saw on the card "Parkour Investment Company". "What sort investment do you do?", I asked myself. I turned the card over to the other side and I saw a written note "Meet me at my mansion any time you're free. The address is written below. This business is just between us". I dropped the card on the table and walked to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
