Deadly Negotiations

"Something tells me," Don Roberto said leaning forward. "That you had something to do with my daughter-in-law's attack last night."

Alfredo Caruso watched him for a while before his lips tilted into a mocking smile. "Is that so?"

Don Roberto simply shrugged.

"I'm not going to lie, Roberto. I feel insulted you would think me so deeply unoccupied, I would indulge myself in petty affairs concerning your daughter-in-law."

Don Roberto shook his head. "You do not fool me."

"If that is the reason you are here, I can assure you you wasting your time," he said scrolling through his phone absent-mindedly.

Don Roberto watched him for a few more seconds with sharp eyes before eventually saying.

"What do you know about Annalise?"

Alfredo looked up at him, one of his brows tilting up. He was a handsome man, even in his late fifties, he still retained the good looks that were prominent in the Carusos.
