Sea of Blood

Issei stood in a sea of blood, never-ending as bodies surrounded him, all looking very, very familiar.

One seemed to slowly float between the mass of bodies face up. It was Issei but his eyes were red, pupils dilated harshly, his stomach had a huge hole ripped into it then outwards.

Issei stood in the sea, breathing slowly as he tried to regain the strength he's already used. He didn't know how long he had been fighting, time meant nothing in the sea that was once beautiful blue, and now died red.

He had been fighting for what felt like ever, just versions of himself, all tainted in rage on varying levels, some completely lost to it, others only barely affected by it.

But each had some sob story, how they couldn't be fast enough to save their Rias, or how they had given into the rage and ended up killing others, people they cared for.

The multiverse existed, and even if they all looked similar there were other things different about them, minor things such as hairstyle, some even had different hair colors, and different eye colors.

Only a few had different skin colors.

Issei had come to the point long ago that maybe he was fighting each version of himself that had put the ring on so far, did they all end up lost? Did they all lose to the rage?

His thoughts went further than what happened around him.

Raven, from the DC Comics, he wasn't sure of which version, what world, he didn't know that much about the DC side of comics, just random information he heard from friends, and the some he understood from reading the comics in hospitals or other waiting rooms, and the occasional movie.

But that meant despite him having assumed this was a world for just DxD, he had been wrong.

No matter how many he killed, or how many he killed himself more came, it just took longer for each time.

When he moved to fight Big Red, to take his power as well. Would he gain the ability to traverse dimensions as well? Is that what Big Red did, traverse dimensions for fun?

Viewing all the possibilities, did he realize he was just another character, or did he think this world was just one of the many?

There was a splash further off, it was multiple this time.

Taking a deep breath, Issei prepared himself, raising his arms and fist in a ready stance he got prepared to beat more ass, only to be ultimately confused when two absolute bomb shells walked out from behind a mountain of corpses.

One had beautiful red hair, it almost looked like a grown-up version of Rias but with more muscle definition, actual abs shown from the dark green silks that hugged the curvaceous body, matching the beautiful green eyes.

The other had white hair, a bit smaller in the chest department but it made up for it in the ass, wearing blue silks that matched her blue eyes.

Issei watched, his fist tightening a bit as he prepared to lay the two out before he heard their voice.

It sounds, different for sure. Without the deep growl and power behind it. But he could recognize those voices from anywhere.

''Issei... That's our Issei right?''

''Of course, it's him! He'd be the only one able to stand after having fought countless versions of himself!''

''Ddraig, and Albion?'' Issei asked, he didn't relax, after so long of battle with versions of himself, a curveball would be the best opportunity to take him over.

''Who else would it be? Issei... You need to wake up, it's been two months.'' Ddraig said, slowly approaching him.

Albion stood there with her arms crossed beneath her chest, despite the apparent softness of their bodies they had a decent amount of muscle showing, even now as Ddraig walked he noticed the soft ripple of muscle through her legs.

''We tried the best we could, but it still took two months to finally get that little fucking ring under control, honestly, we would not have been able to do it this fast if it wasn't for your efficiency of you.''

Albion looked around the sea of blood, gore, and bodies.

''Slaughtering yourself, over and over... This might have lasting trauma.'' Albion cursed, never in any of her users, or the users of Ddraig experienced something like this.

''Lasting trauma? No, I am not so weak to have trauma over this... They lost and I won, basically just a whole bunch of semen fighting for the right to fertilize an egg in my mind.'' Issei stated as Ddraig's arms slowly wrapped around Issei.

He wasn't sure how long he had been tense, but when he felt her arms encircle him his body began to give out, going limp as Ddraig tightened her hold to catch him, keeping him upright as his face buried into her breast.

''Get some rest Issei... Then come back to everyone.'' Ddraig said, her fingers slowly rubbing through his hair in an affectionate way as Albion walked through the sea to join them.

''Take your time coming back Partner,'' Albion stated just as Issei's vision began to rapidly blur before he passed out.

Once he was out the sea around them began to change, the bodies slowly disappearing along with the gore that littered the sea.

Even as the sea became clear once more it took much longer for the blood to leave it.

''We'll need to keep watch of him, just in case.'' Albion stated as she looked at Ddraig who moved to lift Issei into her arms, his form slowly growing smaller.

''Of course, but that is our job, after all, to watch over him... Honestly, I wouldn't mind not having a body, as long as it meant I could continue to watch over him.'' Ddraig said while after while she released Issei, watching him float up towards the upper reaches of this little dimension, still shrinking until he became nothing but a light rushing towards the sky.

''You say that, but we both know he wouldn't like that... He'd prefer it if we could watch him from the outside, then stuck in here.'' Albion sighed softly.

''Come on, let's return to our cages, for now, we need our rest as well.'' Albion jerked her head slightly before they both began to walk, heading to the furthest reaches of the sea.
