The Signs

She gasped and gripped the side of the sink. The running water from the faucet splashed down and the small droplets went to her hand. She raised her head and looked at her reflection through the mirror.

Good thing that she managed to dashed to the bathroom before feeling her twirling stomach. She's becoming more and more dizzy these past few days, especially in the morning. Is it because she couldn't get enough essence from Kiel?

Since her father returned, they both got busy and rarely saw each other. Her father assigned Kiel to supervise a different department. His job became double and he rarely spends time with Devyn now.

Of course, Devyn didn't want to bother the guy because of her pride. But sometimes, when she's on the lower floors, she can still catch a glimpse of him.

She snapped back when a light knock resounded behind the door.

"Sweetheart? Are you okay?" Evelyn pressed her ear on the door and tried to feel the atmosphere.
