In the direction of the escape, Adam ordered his men and the search party continued. Indeed they knew the turned vampires who escaped went north: to the coven of the Vampires and they would only be ready to develop the population of the vampires if they followed into the north.
Yet they followed in the hope that they would catch up with them before they could get into the north. They were more swift with their legs and were vigilant for more turns they could easily take down and cut off their heads before they would regenerate or have them as food.
When they arrived at the border of the north, they thought to wait and they could have more kills before they head back home.
"Let's keep moving, we will take them all out" Frederick assured Adam.
"Are you mad?" Adam asked, wondering if Frederick had not been hit by something heavy. Perhaps it was the reason he was speaking like a fool.
"Going forward is dangerous. We will be dead and grown into the population of those we sow an oath against if we take further steps from here" Adam declared.
"We can fuck their pussies with my axe and they'd be dead even before they inch our skin" Edith announced almost immediately wavering Adam's words.
"Shut up you little fucker! I am your captain and you will do exactly the fuck I fucking tell you to do!" Adam cursed.
"I agreed with Adam. Going in can be dangerous. Aside from the fact that we are outnumbered. This is their home and they have super strength than us. We will not last a sec." Barnabas said.
Barnabas' words had to some extent eased the tension among them. But this does not mean total easiness.
"Oh! Shut up pussy!" Edith cursed as he walked up to Barnabas; looking up at him as if he was just a tiny snail gliding up the wall...
"What did you call me, asshole?" Barnabas queried, looking down to capture the earthworm who spoke to him yet with less wisdom.
If only with a slap, the dwarf would be a thinker before he opened his mouth up to him again but this was only a thought and before Barnabas would have brought it into manifestation, Adam already came in between them and warned them of losing focus in a red zone.

"It appears our visitors are up against another," Cora uttered as she watched the Vam hunters argue from a distance.
The coven of the vampire can also be referred to as a tower because it was designed to be the tallest and the only building in the north of Petra. No other houses were built in the north except for the coven. All that was left was land and mountains filled with life and greeneries.
In this way, the highest point of the tower the vampires were able to see even the smallest ant that walked on their soil and coupled with the fact that the vampires had the eagle eyes that see clearly into the distance.
"Let's visit them. Help them settle their quarrel, and welcome them among us." Cora instructed softly as she smiled from her stance.
Cyrus who was with her answered her instruction and comply immediately. He then instructed a few of the turns to go and visit them and help them settle their little fight as Cora would watch and be pleased.
At this moment it was night conquered the day, the breeze was also present and the trees and their branches were waving rapidly. This meant that it was going to rain and the Vam hunters built their camp.
Even as the night became more unfriendly, this did not mean any of the Vam hunters would rest their eyes for a night of sleep. Even in their camp, they still wielded their swords and kept their eyes on the lookout for any invasion.
Edith was the first to hear footsteps encroaching.
"Shhhhhhhh"
He quickly cautioned the others with his gesture as they all paid more attention to the encroaching steps which now suddenly halted.
When he peeped out into the woods, he saw nothing. But he knew that they were in hiding.
"These are not newly turned" Edith noted in his lowest but audible tone.
Suddenly, the sound was behind him and when he turned back, it was one of the bloodsuckers.
"Fuck lord!" He screamed, breathing harder than usual.
The Vampire already jumped on his shoulder and already shot forward his head to consume Edith from his neck.
But he had not been successful, Edith was smart enough to dodge his teeth and made him have his axe in his mouth.
As much as Edith was first of all frightened he was also bold and he looked eye to eye with the turned.
This one looked more energetic than those they killed earlier. He was neither hungry nor looking pale. He had worn a coat but a different one than the lady Vam they had tried to capture the day before. He had short hair though and his dog teeth were longer.
At the moment the others were going to help Edith get rid of the sucker that mounted on him. The vampire was faster as he was already gone even before the ashes of the curse would touch his skin.
It was a known fact among the Vam hunters that when each one was up against a bloodsucker if it was not an emergency such as he was already been eaten or, the situation had been without control, the rest will interfere but when the situation had been controlled, the rest shall give him the chance to have his kill.
Even Adam as the Captain could not tell the direction the bloodsucker had flown.
"Where did it go?" Otto asked, looking confusingly in the darkness which clouded them.
"Shh!" Adam quickly cautioned as they all now focused more on the darkness. Tracing all movement against them with all their aid: their hearing, the sight and scent.
But it was also a known fact that the Vampires do not have a scent. At least not the ones that can be perceived by mere humans. At this moment each turns in their few numbers as Cyrus had chosen them to muster around the Vam hunters still yet at the distance.
The Vam hunters equally in their strategic stance and positioning wielded their swords and Edith his axe and also with their other hand, they were ready with their portion of the ashes of the curse.
As fast as they heard a sound closing to them, they quickly faced the direction but all they yet saw was still nothing. At another second, they would quickly turn to another direction where they heard another closing sound against them and still saw nothing.
This all made them form a circle and each hunter faced a direction in the hope that his neighbour would protect his back. But this did not mean they had seen the direction which the bloodsuckers hunted from.
The circle they formed was in five folds. As Adam and Frederick were members of one circle Edith and some other men formed another circle and Barnabas in another circle.
If no one among them had not been hunted was a lie as the truth remained one of the Vam hunters who was yet in a circle and also closer to the woods was taken out by a "turned" in a quick motion.
Even the rest of the Vam hunters had not seen this happen because it was so quick that their eyes could not capture it. All they heard was the sudden scream and silence which conquered it almost immediately.
