After surviving an android attack, Kevin Lee Smith wakes up to find his human body replaced with a metal exoskeleton. When Kevin’s body is destroyed, his brain is hooked up to the Experimental Cybernetic User Interface (ECUI). Dr. Edna was taken to a special prison block of the Resistance HQ, along with all her co-conspirators. They were each assigned separate cells with two guards posted outside.

Though Dr. Zhao had the authority to deal with Dr. Edna as he saw fit, he didn't want to decide the fate of those from Lazarus, so he chose to wait for now.

Despite being exposed by Dr. Edna, Dr. Stacey remained completely tight-lipped about Kevin's secrets. She only confessed a half-truth, divulging nothing about Kevin's secret past. And just like her friend, Cassandra too chose to play it safe.

Back when things were normal, Dr. Zhao would have revoked a researcher's license for such manipulation, but things were a lot different now. He couldn't afford to dismiss any of his researchers, let alone one of the supervisors.
