Angel Slayer 6.6 (4)

By rapidly discharging its power core, the Angel Slayer had dealt a terrible blow to Kevin, but it turned out to be a risky move.

The sudden power drain caused the Mecha to automatically switch to hibernation mode. Though its basic movements remained unhindered, its weapon systems went on cooldown.

Hanna had the option of manually rebooting the Mecha and reactivating its weapons, but before she could do that, the Mecha needed to be recharged to optimal levels.

Overcharging the power core also caused it to overheat. If they tried recharging it immediately, there was a high chance that it would melt and cause an explosion.

To avoid a repeat of the accidents at the lab, Captain Giles decided to play it safe. Retracting the power core, he inserted it into the Mecha's internal cooling tank.

"How long is it gonna take?" Hanna asked impatiently.
