Chapter 21 (A date?)

The crowd was talking as the king and queen walked back inside. Lux bowed as they walked past. Delia followed behind them as she still had unfinished unknown work.

"Has anyone told you that you have a really small waist?" Ciaran said when everyone was far from them.

Lux quickly turned his head to look at him, and suddenly covered his face again with his hands.

"I didn't mean to offend you! It's just that I've never seen someone with that small of waist bef-" Ciaran was cut off.

"Please stop, you're making it worse." Lux laughed a bit. Lux's hands were finally down, "How about you take me out today? You promised me a new blindfold."

"Oh, right!" Ciaran replied.

The two walked out together, and then they went to the market. Even with the speech of the king and queen, they still needed to work that or if they wanted to.

The market was packed with people, luckily Ciaran wasn't those dramatic type of princes that needed guards to be with him. It was just Lux and Ciaran now.

They checked out everything, the Pemmayg had a whole different culture, their instruments were made of old horns, wood and much more. Their jewellery was mostly made by elders.

"" an elderly woman said.

Lux smiled as he didn't understand the Pemmayg yaguasan that much yet.

"What did she say?" Lux asked Ciaran.

"She said your eyes were beautiful, and your future is blessed. You will have difficulties but you will overcome it." Ciaran answered.

"That's nice." Lux smiled for a second, "Ugh, how far until we can see cloth?? My legs are dead already." Lux stopped for a rest. Ciaran laughed. "You're going to carry me soon enough." Lux patted Ciaran's shoulder.

They walked further into the market and they saw cloth, Lux just wanted to buy a soft black cloth and nothing much, Ciaran bought one white and one black for Lux. To try another colour other than just black everyday.

"Finally!" Lux cheered, "You know a place we can finally rest? My legs are on life support."

"Yea, I know a place." Ciaran walked and Lux followed.

The place was luckily not far, and it was a small beach. The place this big would have a small lake. The water was crystal clear, there were different types of fish. They both sat there facing the water and chatted.

"So you only left Pemmayg for 1 month for war?" Lux asked.

"Yeah, this place is sacred. Our ancestors built it all by hand, memories and legends are all recorded here. Now creatures and mortals love and live together." Ciaran replied.

Ciaran looked at Lux, his yellow eyes matching the fierce sunset. Too bad Lux was going to wear his blindfold soon.

"But in your letter your father said you only had 10 coins left," Lux looked back at Ciaran.

"It was true," Ciaran sighed "My grandparents didn't want to be stuck in the place forever, so they built a castle there and if a villager wanted to live there they could move."

"That's nice, but what happened?" Lux asked.

"Let's just say your grandfather and father had the same attitude, taking us for advantage and became friends with us for money. My mother never liked it there so I was born here and lived here, I did go back but never much."

Lux was really into the story.

"Then the kingdom there went bankrupt and everyone flew back home and it was abandoned, 15 years ago."

Ciaran layed on the grass, and so the Lux.

Lux looked at the sky, griffins flying with another creature that looks like a griffin but with a back that looks like a horse.

Lux pointed at it, "What's that?"

"It's a hippogriff." Ciaran replied "It has the body of a horse but the head and wings of an eagle."

"Wow, how do you guys have so many creatures here?" Lux asked once more.

"My ancestors praised them and one day everyone just agreed to live together," Ciaran looked at Lux.

"That's funny," Lux giggled a bit.

They both looked at the sky, glowing orange. Pegasus, griffins, hippogriffs and many more other creatures flew in the sky. More people started sitting on the small beach, some started painting, some started to run along the waves and some played with their families.

'Martha..' Lux thought, then he looked at Ciaran. 'No, the past is the past. I am dead.'

Time passed, it was already 7pm, the night sky was going to appear soon enough.

Lux and Ciaran were walking back to the castle to see if Delia had finished her work or not.

"God damn, HOW FAR IS YOUR CASTLE?!" Lux complained.

"A'nimt, it's late." Ciaran shushed him.

"What?" Lux said, confused.

"Quiet"

They both continued walking when Lux stopped, "What are you doing?" Ciaran looked at him.

"Wait-" Lux was catching his breath, "This is going my entire year worth of walking, let me have a break. Please."

Ciaran giggled and waited for Lux, but Lux took a long time.

"Hey, didn't you rest enough?" Ciaran complained as he tucked his arms together.

"Yea, it hurts. You go on, just leave me here. I'll be fine by morning." Lux tried to give a smile.

"You're joking right?" Ciaran said.

Lux slowly stood up, because lack of exercise his muscles are in a lot of pain.

"Just walk in front, I'll stay behind you." Lux said.

Ciaran was worried but he didn't wanted Lux to know so he just did what he needed to do.

'I half regret this,' Lux thought. "I just need to lay down right now." He mumbled.

"Do you want me to carry you?"

Lux looked at Ciaran, "Excuse me?"

"What? You said yourself, and I quote "You're going to carry me soon enough". Ciaran replied.

"I never said that," Lux said.

"Yes, you did." Ciaran talked back.

"Nuh uh,"

"YA HUH"

"NUH UH"

"YA HUH"

"FINE! I BET YOU COULDN'T EVEN LIFT ONE OF MY LEG UP!!" Lux shouted back at Ciaran.

"Yek, mak kant!" Ciaran lifted up his sleeves up to his mid-bicep.

"Ay! Wait, I was joking!" Lux backer one step.

"Nah, you made me do it." Ciaran "attacked" Lux and carried him in bridal style.

"WEI! LET ME GO!" Lux kept pushing Ciaran's face.

"Well, do you want to walk back to the castle?" Ciaran looked at him.

Lux stayed silent and crossed his arms.

While Ciaran was walking back, Lux was already sleeping at that point.

"Ay, wake up" Ciaran shakes Lux a bit. Lux yawned, "What?"

"We have to stop here, I can't carry you into the castle. People will get suspicious, and rumours will spread." Ciaran replied.

Lux just simply went along with Ciaran, walking…
