34. BLOODY DATE 2injured.

A new employee joined Samuel's workplace and was asked to train her. "Meet your new trainee, Mercy Russells." His supervisor pointed at the girl beside him. "Mercy, meet your trainer, Samuel." They glanced briefly at each other.

"You would be your partner and also your trainee. Carry her along on things you are working on, Okay?"

Samuel nodded. "Yes sir."

"You can leave. Samuel, you have things to do." They left.

Outside the supervisor's office, they turned to greet each other properly. He couldn't stop checking her out, and was enchanted by her beauty, "Hey,"

"Hi, Mr. Trainer." She smiled at him, revealing a set of sparkling white teeth.

He stretched his hand for a handshake which she received, "Call me Samuel, Miss Trainee." He smiled back. They stood at the door, hand in hand, staring at each other.

"Call Sa... Oh, earth to lovers." The supervisor's voice brought them back to the present, ending their staring contest. Samuel coughed loudly, trying to hide his embarrassment while Mercy bent her head, hiding her blush.

"You can continue with your staring later. It's work time." The supervisor smiled and entered his office.

"Let's go, follow me," Samuel said to Mercy and went ahead to his office.

Samuel knew his new trainee would bring a special kind of trouble to his work. Immediately, she placed her hand in his for a handshake, it felt like a rush of electricity passed through, leaving sparks from the contact. He became attracted to her and wanted to know her more.

"It should be because it's the first time I'm seeing her that why I'm feeling like this." He thoughts.

Looking at the girl, he could sense that she was smart and also ready to learn and his observation was confirmed after her first training. She paid attention to everything he said and stayed focused as he explained which willed him to want to know her more than the person she portrayed at work.

Samuel brought the idea of exchanging numbers, saying, if she needed his help on anything at any time, she could reach out to him on phone.

Once in a while, when they are less busy, they would gist and tell each other about themselves, and sometimes, they stay in his office to have lunch or go to the cafeteria together.

After some weeks together, he asked her out on a date, he couldn't deny that there was some kind of chemistry between them and knew she felt it too, She accepted and later, they went for the date.

He told her how he felt and was happy she felt the same way. He explained to her about his love life, who he was in love with, and told her, he would love to try the relationship and see where how it goes. He told her what to expect of him and was glad she understood.

The night, he and Yvonne went to the cinema, things turned out bad for him, his head was swerving with different emotions and thoughts.

She was the one that came to his mind so he called her to come over and keep him company, he explained everything to her and as he had expected, she consoled him.

At that moment, they were fully aware of the rush of electricity and sparks, they had no control of their emotions and it happened, he slept with her.

The following morning, Samuel was surprised, he had no regret but felt relieved and happy. He planned to take their relationship more seriously.

They had planned to go on another date and Mercy took it upon herself to choose the location. Mercy had called him up, saying, she knows of a place that would be suitable for their date.

While they were on their way to the place, Mercy confessed it was a double date that it had suddenly come up and they also wanted to meet her boyfriend.

He was disappointed at first that they won't have their privacy but happy, they wanted to meet and get to know him. She hadn't told him, who they were but he guess, it was her brother and his girlfriend, who she talks about all the time.

Entering the restaurant, he looked around the place and was amazed by the restaurant, he had to give kudos to Mercy. She tapped him to get his attention, pointing at a couple sitting not far from them.

He stared at the girl sitting beside the guy in shock, he did not expect to see her there and could not believe Yvonne was Mercy's brother's girlfriend.

"Hey, guys... Yvonne... Justin." He remembered, Mercy said her brother's name was Raymond and not Justin, he looked at her confused.

After introducing themselves, Mercy squealed as Yvonne told her, they knew each other, "Thank God. My brother's g... Hmm, my brother's assistant knows my boyfriend." Mercy squealed, making him confirm he wasn't her brother.

They ate and drink to their fill and discuss, while they were still talking, Yvonne called Mercy that she wants to talk to her, and both left, leaving Samuel and Justin behind. Samuel took out his phone to check for unread messages.

"Yvonne, huh?" He heard from across him, he looked up from his phone to see Justin looking at him, waiting for an answer.

Samuel kept back his phone in his pocket, "Yvonne, huh... As to what?"

"You're in love with Yvonne?" Justin sips from his drink.

Samuel looked at him, shocked, "How did you come to that conclusion?" Sitting upright.

"Simple... It's obvious." Justin laughed. "Your stares are directed to her and not your so-called girlfriend."

"Yea, I am in love with her," Samuel admitted.

Justin watched in silence, "And you must know she's taken."

"Taken as in she's yours?"

Justin nodded, "Take your eyes off her, she's off the market."

Samuel laughed, "Has she accepted you?" Justin frowned, "We are on the same page." Samuel smirked.

"We aren't on the same page, bro. I have asked her and I'm sure she would give me a positive answer but you haven't and I would advise you not to do that and stay as her best friend's brother."

"Is that what she told you or you are voicing out your thoughts?"

"I'm not just voicing out but seriously, do you think that kind of stunt you pulled would work on her?"

"What stunt?" He looked at him confused then in recognition, "She told you?"

"You know I'm a good advisor." He smiled, "You left her confused and the only one that was at her call was me, what do you expect?"

"You..." They sighted Mercy coming toward them and stopped talking. He tried containing the anger and pain, he felt, not wanting Mercy to know.

He wanted to hit someone or something, how could Yvonne tell him about it but it wasn't her fault, he had left her, confused. He would tell her tonight and clear things out of his mind.

Yvonne came back and said, her attention was needed at home. Justin stood up, saying they should go home. He was irritated with the way Justin was behaving with Yvonne and suddenly, held her hand to stop her from leaving.

Justin was angry at that and hit his hand, in the process, Yvonne got injured. He held the same hand, dragging her out with him.

He was angry at the way Justin had behaved, if he hadn't dragged Yvonne out but had stayed, he would have injured him with anger and an angry Samuel is the worse Samuel ever.

Mercy had called her brother on time and was able to help Yvonne,

Raymond took Mercy along with him, he managed to drive himself home and was treated by Ria.
