Chapter 17: Saruna and Luna
"Ugghh Saruna hurry up in there!! You and Fafir always move so slow. If this meeting is so important as you say it is,then we better get to movin'." A impatient Luna yelled. The bathroom door opened to a clean and happy Saruna. Her hair was wrapped in a towel and she was already in a forest green dress with black tights underneath. Fafir was dressed in black leather pants, a black vest and a green t-shirt he figured he'd match his queen. Luna didn't seem to care so she rushed pass the two and took care of her business. Saruna and Fafir sat on the couch and held hands. The small brown skinned girl gleefully smiled and giggled.
"You have freckles how adorable my dear. Promise you and Luna won't get into too much trouble today okay? I'm not to positive as what this meeting will feature, however if it is boring than you two will have free reign to do whatever you please okay?" The Beast Lord said to his little lover. Saruna smiled sweetly and nodded her head. She put on some black heels and a gold arm bracelet. She figured if she was gonna be queen, then she had to show up to show out. "These are very beautiful and seem oh so expensive. Some of these are precious earthling metals. Faffy. My dear. Were did you get these from anyway?" A curious Saruna asked. Fafir said nothing and ignored her question. Instead he walked behind her and helped her zip up her dress. In the time the two spend cleaning their bedroom and cuddling. Luna walked out the restroom, leaving it steamy and smelling fresh. She enjoyed long hot showers and as a child wanted to bathe in a hot spring. Due to her blindness and her parent's overprotective nature,she was forbidden to do so. Her mother(Skyra) once thought she would drown due to her bumping her head. Thankfully Luna did learn how to swim at the age of eleven. How wonderful it was to out swim the other kids and win the medals. Maybe this was when our purple heroine realize she had powers beyond the mortal scale.
"Eh. That's all in the past, I doubt there is even a swimming pool for this place despite how big it is. Anyways you two let's get going I actually wanna see what's all the hub bub is about." Luna said while still wrapped in a towel. Her hair was sopping wet and Fafir was a little displeased by this. He stood up and touched the girl by her shoulders, with a gentle push the girl was placed before her dresser. "Oh! Uh. You didn't think I'd go there in the nude did you? Hehe. I'm way to shy to ever do that,besides it's no big secret. Well at least to you two. You two go ahead I'll catch up okay?" Luna said. Fafir was not happy to hear this he folded his arms and Luna lazily and reluctantly got dressed into some black jeans and a gray t-shirt with some white boots. She teased Fafir with a smug smile.
"Let's get going Saruna. As for you little miss casual. Your not getting any lovin' tonight. " Fafir said. Saruna and Fafir walked down the hall and turned the left corner from their room. Luna finished getting dressed and decided to have some fun. Since Fafir wasn't in the room with her,she'd think as long as nothing was destroyed it'd be okay to transform. "Alright don't think I've done this in a while but in..out..in..out..in..out" The girl slowly breathed, she deeply inhaled and exhaled, suddenly she teleported outside to the hallway and bursted into her First Aether state. That familiar green form and seemingly intense energy finally seemed controllable. Luna did some stretches and threw a few jabs,right crosses,left crosses and uppercuts. She then focused on stretching her legs,glutes,hamstrings and the works. "Ooooh,felt a bone crack must means it's time to shadowbox. Wait how'd Momma do it again? Hmm.."The girl said trying to remember. She couldn't and just did things her way. After her warm-up exercises the girl practiced her kicks.
The following were: roundhouse kicks,heel kicks, axe kicks,leg swipes, which proved difficult for her to avoid, jumping spinning kicks,front kicks and the hardest one so far she learned. The jumping splits kick. "Mmmm..Grandma Umi did say I need to be more flexible, but only Blue Aether has that ability down pack. Maybe I need to stretch some more..Mm..mmm..oooh yeah that's the ticket. All over my body. Now I feel loose and limber hehe. Okay difficult excercise time let's do the splits." Luna dreaded this mainly cause she wasn't the very best. Galastrom taught her exactly how to do so,but even a small woman like her struggle to get started. Now Luna could prove to her teacher she indeed was listening. Before she could, another five minutes of stretches was in order,this time for the hips,legs and lower back.
"1..2..3, 1..2..3,1..2..3. And there we go all limbered up hehe. Hope Fafir and Runa aren't too sore I ain't there at that meeting might be utter bullshit anyway." Luna said. Meanwhile at the meeting Fafir had Saruna were a funny looking mask to avoid anyone to gaze upon his queen. The two sat and the man wondered were Luna could be. Three generals mentioned the expansion of the prison. They wanted to make a completely separate building for the prisoners only and only needed Fafir's say so. "I see three floors isn't enough it would seem huh? Well that sounds good and all but one problem.
Were are we gonna get the money to fund such a yearly procedure?" The slightly frustrated Fafir asked his generals. The three talked among themselves and clapped their hands together signaling a end to their little pow wow. "My Gracious Evil Lord,I as the speaker for these two will take full responsibility in handling the finances nessacary for this project. You'd need only to sign this document and we can get things started. Besides forgive me if I may be so bold. " The first general said. Fafir stopped him and interrupted. "That's all I can tolerate for right now. You have my permission to find a remote location on this continent and build. It must be far away from my home. As for the prisoners already here. Beat them if they get outta line. Now as for what you were about to say next. Be careful or I'll rip out your tongue. " The evil one said. This terrified the first general. He shook aside his fear and foolishly spoke against his lord.
"Surely you have more important TRAINING to do,you lecherous snake. You man whore of the night hours,you as a abomination to Nea and the Neotic way of life,it's no wonder she banished you. You can't contend with the truth and you can't look at yourself in the mirror. Look at you!! You're a rapist,murderer,enslaver, monstrous, wicked and cruel fiend and the worst one besides all of those sins is you blamed the death of your own daughter on Luna!! YOU killed your own flesh and blood not her!! So if I'm going to lose my tongue I rather use it to stand up for what's right and just!! Not some hypocritical, lust-filled,perverted and monstrous baffoon!!!" The first general said. Fafir waved a hand and sent Saruna away to Luna. When she left that room a horrific bloodcurtiling scream echoed across the entire palace. Poor Saruna who never witness a murder or any evil for that fact was very afraid and scared.
She sadly walked back to their room and saw Luna. Tears in her eyes the brown skinned girl slid down the wall and planted her face into her knees. Luna recognized this and stopped her splits practice to comfort her friend. "W..why did he have to do that to that man sis!??" The freckled girl cried. "I..is all that stuff true about him? I..is he a..an." Hesitating to say it Luna nodded her head. She showed a scar that was very faint. It was on her left inner forearm. This was a permanent reminder of the horrible monster Fafir really is. His wicked ways went on for nearly months. They harmed thousands if not hundred of thousands. One question from Saruna to Luna really hit her deep."When Luna?" She asked in tears. "When what Saruna? What is it? You can tell me." Luna assured Saruna. "When will this evil end. W..was he using us? Was the only reason he was nice to us..was because he wanted...sex?" Saruna asked. "As much as I believe that we willingly allowed ourselves to have intercourse and we can't blame him totally. We also must take responsibility. Look let's change the subject. Me and you are one day gonna get outta here,train with our friends and family, beat the shit outta Fafir's cronies and Fafir himself. Speaking of, we will be sure to have him cast into deepest darkness. I'll make sure of it with Papa." Luna snickered.
Just then Fafir walked back covered in blood and had the tongue of the first general as a reward. Horrified to see that Saruna felt ill to her stomach and went to the restroom to vomit. Luna however had a reignited hatred for the Beast God,sadly she had to play along for a little bit longer if she wanted to avoid imprisonment. "Where were you. I specifically had all three of us get dressed for this meeting and yet you disobeyed my direct orders. You have one warning my dear sweet. As promised. No lovin' for you tonight nor this tongue to be warn as a scarf." Fafir showed off arrogantly. Luna was angrier than she was a few seconds ago. Fafir went inside and Luna followed suit getting dressed into some more athletic clothes. It'd be far easier for her to continue practicing the splits then what she was wearing. Angered by Fafir's arrogance and the mental scar he left Saruna. The girl vowed to make him truly pay for his horrendous deeds.
As she focused on doing the splits right then and there Luna finally was able to get into contact with Skyra via telepathy. This was a power she forgot she even had. To her surprise. Luna fell a bit forward with her upper body. Her legs were spread apart. She couldn't focus as Fafir was doing what he could to make what he did seem okay to Saruna. The commotion annoyed her so she focused even harder. This time Skyra's voice was loud and clear. " Can you hear me Luna Berry? It's Momma!! I missed you oh so much and I just wanna hug you and never let ya go. Look ya might as well pack your bags,cause a diversion,kick some butt and hold off any goons. Pega and the girls manage to snag all four of those space ships!! Ain't that awesome!!" Skyra said telepathically.
Luna smiled as she closed her eyes. All else became silent. Skyra continued. "They've been gone for nearly a day now it would seem. As Goddess of Space and Time I could try and move them further along my dear. I just hope there isn't any sort of issue on their end. " Skyra worried. Luna then spoke. "What if Fafir has more troops up there, you guys need all the help you can get, just get them here and rescue me. Fafir is a absolute pain and I wanna go homeeee." Luna childishly whine to her mom. Skyra giggled and reassured her youngest daughter all would go well.
"You need only to wait. Okay? Your doing good so far. I know it must've been tough, but Momma rasied you to be tougher, now go and be Fafir's worst nightmare. I love you baby girl. Momma Skyra out." Luna's mom said. Happy to have even hear her voice. Luna had a new hope deep within her burst light a roaring fire she began doing push ups,squats,sit ups and even practice some hand stands.
Once Saruna saw this she grabbed Luna's hand and took her far from their bedroom and went to the third floor. "W...what's all this? Why are we here Saruna?" Luna asked. "Since we're one in a way..I heard that woman's voice..I..is that my Momma? S..she sounds like you big sis?" Saruna said cutely making Luna cringe and die inside. "In a way..y..yes,but you said were not actually sisters,we're like two sides of the same coin. Look you and I are one,but yet different okay? Now what's the real reason we're here?" Luna asked.
Saruna looked around and dusted off her green dress. She saw a familiar face. Luna recognized that her and Saruna were on the third floor. It was the prison floor she was in charge of when she was a pooper scooper. Confuse Luna had no idea why this prisoner was so important, well until they removed the hood off their cloak. "Oh..i..it's you? Rainbow girl. Long time no see. Um..yeah I was the second test subject to that machine and.." The rainbow haired girl Interrupted and smiled. "I don't care I don't wanna know. Look Luna you have the power to set me free and for the record. MY NAME IS RUNI!! Oop! Hope none of the guards heard that. Look just get me outta here. I'll escape this place and get you two some help alright?" Runi said.
Unsure to trust her or not Luna sliced the iron bar in two and Runi was out of her cell. Wearing only a brown cloak and nothing else, Saruna knocked a nearby woman guard unconscious. She stripped of her underwear,tights and shirt. Luna ripped off any emblems or tags. There the three ran to the nearest and oldest window. The bricks holding the window seemed to look very disheveled and brittle. Another dilemma presented itself.
"Um..how am I gonna get down? I can't fly and that's at least a one hundred to two hundred foot drop. I ain't trying to see Nea today. Any ideas girls?" Runi asked. "Only one but it only happened when I could change into Saruna. Maybe it'll happen again. Saruna can you stretch your arms?" Luna asked. Saruna nodded yes and said she'd been practicing while Fafir and her slept. Amazed the curly haired girl's arms were not only super stretchy,but also indestructible. They were about to get cut off had not been for a nearby guard hopelessly trying to strike with his blade. With this new information, Saruna reeled her arms back to normal length. This attracted some prison guards who held guns up to the trio. Unfazed Luna put her hands up and Saruna uncharacteristically grabbed Runi and jump back first out of the massive window shattering the glass.
"Well..did not expect that to happen. But if you wanna go after them,than first you have to fight your QUEEN." Luna said shaking the entire third floor with her voice. The guards bowed and asked why Saruna did what she did. Luna came up with a creative lie and fooled the guards. "Well you see in the olden days: The Primoridal deities of that time were willing to risk,life and limb if they felt it nessacary and daring even. In fact Nea was so up for it she was sure this was the only way to gain immortality. I'm not saying you all should do it,butttt..window is right there." The purple girl said in a sarcastic tone. The other guards went the other way. Luna looked out the massive window and did not see Saruna at all she hope her and Runi were okay.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! W..w..what are you CRAZY THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING ANYONE COULD DO!!!??" Runi said as Saruna and her were free falling hundreds of feet at mere minutes, would they be just a stain or would Saruna save them from their certain doom.
"HEY HELLOOOOOO..UH..UH..SARUNA RIGHT?!! WE'RE GONNA DIE!! NEA FORGIVE ME FOR MY SINS!!" The rainbow haired girl said as they only got closer to the ground. Suddenly their descent came to a immediate halt. Saruna used her own set of flips and turns to outmaneuver jagged rocks and prickly pine trees. She did all of this while Runi was praying and begging to be saved. "Hey hehe your all safe now Ru Ru. Hehe I like that name. Ru Ru." Saruna said as she babble on. Angry by this. Once Runi opened her eyes she walked up to the brown skinned girl and balled her fists pummeling her with her fiercest blows. They tickled Saruna. Didn't help Runi was only five feet tall and Saruna towered over her even more with her new heels. "Hmph..y..you could of killed us ya know!!! Never do that again Saruna." Runi lectured her. Saruna smiled and hugged her new buddy and brushed off any dirt. "That was fun. The wind was in my hair and the breeze felt so good. Hehe. Well your free now. Go get help. I figure if big sis wanted to escape she would have a plan for us both. Butttt since she didn't say so. Imma head back you get help okie?" Saruna said making the goofiest faces.
"Okay fine, I'll go to Dalidstad and see if the Brigands can help. In the meantime. Learn how to fly girl!!" Runi said running far into the forest. Saruna in fact did know how to fly since her and Luna are one. She just added a little bit of flair and style to the mix. Once she finished her ascension, Luna was waiting for her and three large solders already had some new glass built in. Luna grabbed her friend's hand and walked far away so no one could hear their conversation. "Okay first off...NEVER..DO..THAT..AGAIN!! You could've died! I may have just gotten into the big sister role,but I'm not a pro at it!! Next, is Runi long gone from here? Where'd she say she was going?" Luna asked in a frantic hushed tone. Saruna silently giggled at Luna's expression and pinched her cheeks.
"Oh sister, Runi is perfectly fine,a little girly and shaken up though. I mean I'm girly as well,my lip stick wasn't the right color this morning. GASP!! Did I tell you tha.." Unamused by her random babbling. Luna bonked her friend on the head and booped her little nose. "Where..is..Runi..going Saruna?" Luna asked impatiently.
"Oh that's easy. She said to a place called Dalidstad? And something about the Brigands. What are those big sis?" Saruna asked innocently. "Stop calling me that! Were not SISTERS okay...sigh..Luna is fine or Lulu anything other than "BIG SIS" okay? Also..Dalidstad huh? Interesting choice. And to answer your third question. Their...family..their friends of mine..Some I lost to a woman I..I should have never killed..h..her name was...Magnolia." Luna said regretting her own past deeds. Tears drip down her face. She remembered the look her father gave her. It was sad indeed. No words were exchanged after that. Instead Saruna hugged Luna tightly and kissed her on her cheek. "Is okay now..the woman had a terminal illness within her. She was only attacking, because that's all she knew. In fact she was fighting the clock of life for her very...well..life. Remember what I said to you when we first met. "You and I are Aether and Aether is One." Saruna finshed saying.
"B..but how do you know Magnolia had a terminal illness? I..is this some kind of clairvoyance??" The confused girl asked Saruna. "All of man and Neo-Kind have this and that illness is EVIL. But what is worst...sin." Saruna said. She got up from her spot and went back to the bedroom. Unsure of how to take what Saruna said in. The word "sin" sounded all too familiar to her..but from where did she first hear it?
"Whatever..I just hope the girls get here soon Saruna is getting too philosophical for me hehe. I need a nap." Luna said.
