FIRST KISS

After the narration, the house again was caught with silence. Slowly Mr Tan Woo leaned back at his chair, his thumb caressing his temple avoiding their straight gaze. According to his thoughts, he knew what he just said wasn't convincing enough so he continued.

' A SACRIFICE that she did, l gause was so strong and dangerous. Before her death, we heard some cases of kids under twelve years getting stolen but l never knew until one day my...my only first and last child got....got lost. He had just celebrated his twelve's birthday like a day today then after some weeks, he disappeared suddenly, l vividly recall how he was so....so happy on his birthday and he even wished living forever. Had l ever new it would be his last day on earth, l would have kept him away, hid him from where that monster wouldn't reach nor anyone knowing about his whereabouts till everything goes back to normal. But what else could l have done, l just want now my soul and my child's soul to rest in peace. Till that day, l promised myself that the day Alah will come back, I'll be the one to finish her off, even if she kills me, artilist l would have done something better than not.

Tears were seen at the corner of his eyes as he wipes them. They all knew what this old man has gone through was more than heartbreak. He quickly took a sip from his glass then slammed his body on the couch dozing off. They both got stunned thinking that the old man was still berating on what to say, but to their disappointment, he started snoring like a pig. Drew went towards the window and peeked at someone but his eyes caught no one.

' Am not going out alone. I better rest till the old man wakes up.' Luca said slamming his body on the couch as Drew and Andy does the same. Linet still in her thoughts, her body immediately froze when today's scenes appeared on her head.

' Me too, am not ready to die, maybe that old witch is waiting for me outside and eat me, let me sleep guys, goodnight even if it has always been bad nights.' she spoke and without wasting time, she hoped on the mattress that was on the floor sleep taking over her too.

Lyn stared at his sleeping brother slowly caressing his soft cheeks then for a second a chuckle escape from her mouth making Alex to stare back at her in surprise. Streams of tears covered her cheeks as she tried to recall the good deeds that her brother had done for her. Again another picture of her parents rang on her head, making more tears to fall. The more she tried to wipe them the more that strong chocking lump stuck from her throat.

' Mama, papa! Am missing you more. Am missing you more. I should blame myself for not taking care of you the way you took care of me while you were still breathing. Am so sorry for....for letting....for letting you all down and even disrespecting you. I didn't got enough time to spend with you, but what you had thought me, I'll always remember forever even if l die too. I shouldn't be blaming everyone for what is happening, hope you forgive me. I promise you that I'll keep Luca safe until all this nonsense is over. I'll take your revenge too and...

' Stop now. You're making me want to cry too.' Alex interjected his thumb rubbing her already swollen cheeks. If you say those words again l might brake into tears and you might end up laughing at me sweet Lyn.'

' Hah, haha! Can't believe you're saying those words right now, idiot. Can't you see am mourning, huh! She teased as Alex thumps wipes away her tears.'

' Am too mourning but from inside. Don't be such a cry baby, do you want your papa to appear here and beat you up for crying in such a situation.'

' Alex!

' Whaaat! Can't l tease you and make you smile for me artilist. I don't want to die before seeing your smile, maybe am next to die in line.' he said sadly staring away.

' Don't say that. If that thing takes you, then we'll both die together. I can't sit and watch another person dying without me doing something. I'll protect all of you, l swear.' she blubbered surprising Alex. He shifted his gaze towards her, then a small laugh escape from his mouth as he move closer to her.

' Why that laugh? Are you underestimating me? A question look was shown from her face as she curiously ask.

' Am not underestimating you. Am just happy to hear those strong and motivating words from your sweet mouth. I hope when that day arrives, you'll be there like now. That you'll always protect us.'

' Hey, am not backing down neither. And infact, I'll be the one to...

' Lyn.' he called with a serious look his eyes gazing on hers as if pleading for something.

' Hmm! Do you have...

' Incase this thing kills me, please take care of my sister. I don't have any other family apart from her. She's the only one who is making me to live.' he said with a pleading tone.'

' Your sister? Do you have a sister?

' Yeah! Linet is my small sister. We've kept that as a secret and to be sure, l can only trust you for now. To always protect her even if am not around.'

' You never said that she's..... she's.....Oohh noo. Why.....

' Please promise me. That you'll always support her.' he cut with tears filled in his eyes.'

' I promise. With all my heart and.....

Her words were cut by his soft lips that landed immediately she promised. Though her body froze from his sudden act, but she's been yearning for his touch ever since they met. She wanted to quit loving him but she always find herself being closer to him. He rushed his tongue inside hers immediately she opened up for him as he devour her hungrily. ' I like you Lyn, from the first day we met but you never gave me any chance to express my feelings towards you, please say yes.' he murmured his soft and hot lips kissing her back this time more sweater than before. Instead of responding, she moaned inside his mouth leaving a soft chuckle from Alex's throat knowing that his pleading has been accepted. Suddenly his fingers started trailing up her body till it reached at the nape of her back and hooked down her bra her t-shirt falling on the floor.
