PAIN

The bright light shown in their eyes could tell everything they've all work for so hard all was done. A pose of straight air escaped from everyone's lips happiness feeling their new faces. Andy was the first one to jump out of his sitting position quickly jumping up and down celebrating. This was their first time to feel at free. No one believed that all of them would survive despite the serious war that they were all in. As they move all together for a group hug, Alex suddenly remembered that two people were missing. His eyes searched around for some seconds only to see Mr Tan's body lying beside the remnants of the burned fire and wondered where could his only sweet Lyn be. He surveyed the area again and when he couldn't get a glimpse of her, he vividly recalled when he was pushed away as the one who helped him, falls in the fire. The energy in him weakened as he desperately falls on the ground unable to breathe. Andy quickly rushed to where he was lying giving him a little amount of water that they had carried for their journey. He knew she was over, he'll never be able to meet her again. She left him without a goodbye nor even hearing a word from her. As if judging the silent sky, his eyes never left it tears unable to fall. They got dried the moment he broke from inside when he saw that she was too gone, far away from him. Still sobbing, they heard a cough from someone moving closer to them and they knew it was the Old man.

' What happened? Why her? Why not you?' Alex impatiently asked him, standing up.'

' What do you mean why not me?' Mr Tan replied softly sitting down.'

' Am asking you, you were the one who was supposed to die, then why didn't you and let her die? Why was she the one who pushed me when l was about to get burned?'

' But....l don't understand you? I was the one.... Can't you see how burned l am? I was the one who fell into the fire to protect you.'

' Ehh... Old man what are you saying?' Andy confusingly asked.'

' Yeah! I don't know what exactly happened. The moment we fell in the fire, it was easy for me to step out since l was ontop of her. I happened to get burned but it wasn't that quick since l.......'

' Where is she? I exactly wanna know what happened? It can't be that she disappeared with her?' Alex interjected standing.'

' So, are you initiating that l was the cause of everything, boy. I killed her and left myself live? '

' Then where's she? She was far away from us when the fight broke, and l knew there's nothing that can harm her from the position she was in.'

' Huh! Can't believe this. So you gave us a position just to get us harmed. To protect her and let us killed? Is that what you mean?' Andy furiously shouted staring at him painfully.'

' No, l was going to protect everyone. Do you think am that person who can let you get hurt without me protecting you?'

' Maybe for the sake of love , you can do it.'

' Fine. I won't blame you for what you'll believe. But l know..... ' he was cut off by Amaya's words and the thing made him to want to bounced on her immediately.'

' But Alex.... What if she was the reason behind all this?'

' Reason? You don't know anything Amaya so shut your mouth, now. Don't you ever say that Infront of my ears.'

' Am sorry to say that but what if she was Alah herself and not the one we were dealing with? What if..... '

' I said shut the fuck up or else you'll die.' he warned grabbing her neck tightly.'

' Am... So... So.... '

' What's this? Leave her Alex, what if you strangle her to death. What's wrong with you?' Andy hoped in trying to let go Alex's huge hands from her neck.'

' Step a side, or she'll die. Since she knows everything then why didn't she helped us, maybe you're Aladin herself and you're here telling lies about Lyn. Now speak what you know or l finish you, now.'

' Plea... Please. I don't... I don't know anything. I only saw her.... staring at the mirror before our journey here. She was smiling and saying.... Some..... Please your hurting me, leave my neck first. Please l beg of you.' Amaya struggled and after her long pleadings, he at last let go of her throwing hands inside his dry hair hungrily as she coughs continuously.'

' I can't understand you. What exactly did you heard?' Mr Tan asked anxiously waiting for her reply.'

' The day on our last super, at night when she left the tables and walked to the kitchen, when l went to grab a cup of hot tea, l saw her smiling and Infront of her, was a very long mirror, almost to her size. She was talking to it but l didn't understood her language, before she could feel my presence, l hid in a corner waiting for her to walk out.'

' What words did you hear?' The Old man asked again, this time increasing Alex's anger. He couldn't let himself to believe what his ears were hearing.'

' She's lying. Don't believe her. She might be Alah herself and what she want is to manipulate you too, can't you reason? It is Impossible for Lyn to be that witch. All this time she hasn't given any sign to show that she's a devil.'

' Alex, don't forget we were all busy dealing with one person whom we knew. We trusted her completely that's why time to think about her was not own our side. It is hard to believe cause every time she was here with us helping. Who would have doubted her, even you being so close to her. You didn't knew you were spending your nights with a devil anyway.'

' Hey, Andy, watch your mouth. She's not a devil never forget that.'

' I know it is hard to believe it, and it is hard for us too. But please try to give it a reason, what if she's the reason behind all this then by any chance you come to find out, would you still not believe?'

' Andy! What you're saying is absolutely false. She was a harmless angel with a soft heart, how possible could this be? Huh!'

' And don't forget, better trust the devil you know than the Angel you don't know. The angel you know might be your weakness no wonder you ain't trusting any word from us.'

' Kid, it's okay. No need to argue with Alex. Just consider the state he is in right now and if it were you, you'll too act this way. All we need now is to find out where the truth lies. We need togetherness.'

' No need for togetherness now. We've managed to finish her, our loved ones have gone forever, till now we made it. There's no war now, there's no more slaughters and having sleepless nights now and apart from all, we are the only ones who made it, so you should be greatful especially you Mr Tan, you were the one who was supposed to die and not her. Have cried for so long when Linet was killed. And l know that witch has killed Lyn too, so all l have to do is to move on. There's no evil to attack us now, why worries? I better go and find my ways to start a new life. Am fucking tired living in this illusions life have been living in. It seems that you don't know the pain that lives inside a persons how it feels loosing those whom you love at the same time and both leaving without a word nor a goodbye from them. It truly hurts and l don't know if the pain will ever heal itself. I think I'll have to bare with it.

' Goodbye my friends and we shall all meet when time will allow us.' And he walked away in tears never bothering to look back at them. He's truly heartbroken by life and by those who used to be closer to him. Now they've all left, what's the meaning of him staying around? And there he was gone, far away from them. With nothing more to add, they all stared at each other and from nowhere, an idea popped inside the Old man's head.'

' What if we are both suggesting is true? Young Mrs Lyn was the cause of the problem. In the first place she was the one who opened Alah, what if the spirit possessed her by using her body all this time?'

' Yeah! Aladin was clever, l remember us in the forest when she attacked us, she told Lyn that she can't leave without her. Maybe she disappeared with her.'

' Andy, what if that's impossible. Alex can't believe us neither, what if she sacrificed herself to save him an us? Amaya silently asked.'

' Fuck! Is Alah dead for sure?'

' I don't think so. Why would the mirror disappear in the first place before she could die? ' There's something we ain't knowing.'

' Mr Tan!!! Oohh know! She isn't dead.' She's still alive. ' Andy shouted leaning his body on a nearby stone his eyes up the sky.'

' Why! There's nothing that can probably bring her back.'

' You're wrong. Do you remember the bluish Gem she was fighting for at the forest. It might be her one reason to come back. And we'll surely die this time for real.'

' Fuck! The Diamond Gem?' We must find it and destroy it forever before she comes back!'

' How? ' Amaya asked.'

' By finding it no matter what? '

' No. Not now. Let us rest and enjoy for now. Have never felt free like this. Let us be happy for once and live a life that will all remember.' Andy calmly spoke and with that, silence filled their hearts though some questions still going on, on their empty head. Surely, no one knows what tomorrow holds, enjoy the little time you get and you'll never regret it.'
